私の家から近いお気に入りエリア、チズィック。
実はまだまだステキなカフェがありました。
チズィック・ハイストリートをちょっと曲がったデヴォンシャーロードにちらほらかわいいカフェが。
今回はこちらへ。

Chiswick is my favourite local area where is close to our flat.
There are several nice cafes.
We found some more in Devonshire Road which is just off from Chiswick High Street.
We went to TAMP Coffee this time.




この日はとても天気がよかったので、テラスでたくさんの人がお茶。

It was a warm, lovely day.
People were having coffee at terrace.




週末のランチタイムはローカルの人ですぐいっぱいに。

It became quickly full with local people at lunch time in weekend.




お店の名前の通り、コーヒーが売り。
コーヒー豆も買えます。

Their selling point is coffee.
You can also buy coffee beans too.




フードで有名なのはこちらのエンパナーダ。
スペイン発祥の具入りペイストリー。

Their popular food menu is empanada.
It's Spanish stuffed pastry.




に、こちらのいろんな種類のサラダをあわせて。
サラダだけでもOK.

You can set with those various salad too.
Of course, you can just eat salad as well.




他にもサンドイッチや、トルティーヤもあり。
ケーキもおいしそう!

They also have sandwiches and tortillas.
Of course, they have sweets too!




私たちはエンパナーダのセットと、トルティーヤを頂きました!
エンパナーダは小さいけれど具がずっしりなので、サラダとセットでちょうどよかった!！
ホクホクでおいしかったです!
カフェといえば、フードメニューはサンドイッチだけ、というところも少なくないイギリスのカフェのなかでは、
こういうバラエティがあるフードメニューのカフェはうれしい。
（単に私がそんなにサンドイッチ食べないだけなんだけれど。）

We had empanadas and salad, and a toritilla.
A empanada is small but it is really stuffed.  Good to have with salad!
It was very fresh and tasty.
I like this kind of food as most of cafes in UK only have sandwiches for food menu.....
(just I am not sandwich person.....)




おなかいっぱいだったけれど、コーヒーを試さないわけにはいかないでしょ。
ということで、エッグタルトも一緒に。
コーヒーもタルトもおいしかった!
私たちのお気に入りローカルカフェに認定です!

We had to try their coffee too.
It was really good and also egg tart was really tasty too.
Officially, it is our favourite local cafe now!!

私の家から近いお気に入りエリア、チズィック。
実はまだまだステキなカフェがありました。
チズィック・ハイストリートをちょっと曲がったデヴォンシャーロードにちらほらかわいいカフェが。
今回はこちらへ。

Chiswick is my favourite local area where is close to our flat.
There are several nice cafes.
We found some more in Devonshire Road which is just off from Chiswick High Street.
We went to TAMP Coffee this time.




この日はとても天気がよかったので、テラスでたくさんの人がお茶。

It was a warm, lovely day.
People were having coffee at terrace.




週末のランチタイムはローカルの人ですぐいっぱいに。

We had empanadas and salad, and a toritilla.

今年の初カフェ巡りは南ロンドンのパットニーへ。
北欧カフェがあるというのでいってみました。
近くはテムズ川があって、いい天気のときはお散歩も。

Our first cafe hopping was in Putney.
I heard that there is a Nordic cafe and shop.
It is near Thames river, it should be great spot to walk when it is sunny!





カフェ・ブラバー。
北欧雑貨も買えるカフェです。

Blabar.
It is a cafe with a shop for Nordic living style.




店内は雑貨も置いているのでコジーな感じですが、

The cafe space is quite cosy as they have shop space too....




2階席はゆっくり出来ます。

However, they have more seats in the first floor.




北欧だからデザイン雑貨が多いのかと思いきや、ソープなどの生活雑貨もあったり、

I thought they only have interior designed items, but also they have beauty items like soaps and scrubs  too.




本とか、

also books....




わりとバラエティ豊かな品揃え。

Any kinds of items.




シンプルなデザインが人気。
この日はセールもやってたので、お買い物に来たひとも。

Good simple designs.
They do winter sale now, so there are some people just came for shopping too.




私のお気に入りはこのモビール。

My favourite is this mobile.




さて、お目当てのフード。
ブランチメニューを頂きました。
ブランチメニューはこのほかにグルテンフリーのパンケーキも。
こちらのアボカドエッグはスモーブロみたいなタイプで、おいしかった～。
でも北欧カフェときたらやっぱりシナモンロールを食べないわけにはいかないでしょ。
シナモンロール、ふわふわでおいしかった!
ロンドンのシナモンロールでは一番好きかも。
北欧カフェは結構できてきたけど、シナモンロールもカフェによって色々なので、
食べ比べるのがおもしろい。
まだ色々チェックしてるので、またシナモンロールめぐりでもしようかな。
（でも個人的に好きなのはベタに日本のスタバのシナモンロールだったりする…。
あれ、イギリスにはないんですよ!　誰か日本から来るとき買って来て!）

And their food!
We had brunch menu.
They also have gluten free pancake too.
It was like somorrerod type, Danish open sandwich.  Very good!
However, I can't miss a cinnamon roll in Nordic cafe, can I?
Their cinnamon roll was so soft and delicious!
I think it was my best cinnamon roll in London.
There some Nordic style cafes in London but all cafes have different cinnamon rolls.
It is interesting to eat and compare them.
(But, so far, I really like Starbucks' cinnamon roll! (They don't have it in UK!)

今年の初カフェ巡りは南ロンドンのパットニーへ。
北欧カフェがあるというのでいってみました。
近くはテムズ川があって、いい天気のときはお散歩も。

Our first cafe hopping was in Putney.
I heard that there is a Nordic cafe and shop.
It is near Thames river, it should be great spot to walk when it is sunny!





カフェ・ブラバー。
北欧雑貨も買えるカフェです。

Blabar.
It is a cafe with a shop for Nordic living style.




店内は雑貨も置いているのでコジーな感じですが、

The cafe space is quite cosy as they have shop space too....




2階席はゆっくり出来ます。

However, they have more seats in the first floor.




北欧だからデザイン雑貨が多いのかと思いきや、ソープなどの生活雑貨もあったり、

I thought they only have interior designed items, but also they have beauty items like soaps and scrubs  too.

この日はセールもやってたので、お買い物に来たひとも。

でも北欧カフェときたらやっぱりシナモンロールを食べないわけにはいかないでしょ。
シナモンロール、ふわふわでおいしかった!
ロンドンのシナモンロールでは一番好きかも。
北欧カフェは結構できてきたけど、シナモンロールもカフェによって色々なので、
食べ比べるのがおもしろい。
まだ色々チェックしてるので、またシナモンロールめぐりでもしようかな。
（でも個人的に好きなのはベタに日本のスタバのシナモンロールだったりする…。
あれ、イギリスにはないんですよ!　誰か日本から来るとき買って来て!）

And their food!

先週土曜日は、エピファニー（公現節）でした!
公現節とは、というのは皆様にググってもらうとして、
要は、ガレット・デ・ロワを食べる日です!
ガレット・デ・ロワとは、アーモンドペーストやアップルフィリングが入ったパイ（もしくはブリオッシュ）で、
中にフェーヴという小さな人形が入っており、それを当てた人が今年のキング（もしくはクィーン）となり、今年一年幸福に恵まれるのです!
と、私は聞いてましたが、横にいるフランス人は「幸福に恵まれるとかそんなのでっち上げ」といってます!　無視します!!

Last Saturday was Epiphany!
What is Epiphany?  Please google!  In short, it is the day we eat a galette des rois!
Glaette des rois is a pie (or brioche) with frangipane or apple filling which has a small doll, called a feve.
A person who get a feve in a slice of galette become a king (or queen) and will be blessed this year.
That was what I heard, but a French man next to me is saying that blessed thing is a making up.
Well, I ignore him!




というわけで、今年のガレット・デ・ロワはハマースミスにある私のお気に入りフレンチベーカリー、パティスリー・サン・タンさんのもの。
（英語読みはセント・アン）
焼き目が美しい!

So, this year, I chose my favourite French bakery in Hammersmith, Patisserie Sainte Anne.
How beautiful!




こちらはイートインスペースもあるのですが、カウンター横のちょっとしたスペースのみなのでカフェ紹介としては紹介してませんでしたが…。
味は本当にとてもおいしい。
スタッフさんたちはほとんどフランス人で、うちの相方としゃべってるとちょっとしたパリ気分。

They have some seats for eat in, but only a few.
So I haven't introduced this place in my blog....  but this is definitely my favourite address in London.
Most of the staff are French, so when I heard their talking with my French mister,
I feel like that I am in Paris. :)




ケーキ類はお高めですが、イートインのランチセットはとってもお得。
このでかいサイズのキッシュとサラダ、ケーキとドリンクで約９ポンド。

Their cakes are a bit pricey, but their lunch set is very good.
A big slice of quiche, salad, a cake and drink cost about 9 quids.




ケーキは、素朴なタルトからパティシエのケーキまでさまざま。
チョコレートやマカロンもあります。
こちらのオーナーさんの一人は日本人なので、抹茶スィーツもあるんですよ!
個人的なおすすめは、バゲットとクイニーアマン。
クイニーアマンは、うちのブルターニュ人も認める本場の（よりもおいしい!?）味。
バゲットは、最近の流行のベーカリーではサワドゥ（日本語ではなんというのだろう?）のバゲットが主流の中、
シンプルな普通のバゲットで（味・歯ごたえはもちろんめちゃいい!）、サワドゥが苦手な私にはとってもありがたいのです。

They have traditional tarts and also patissier's cakes, chocolates, and macaroons.
One of the owners is Japanese, so they also have Matcha (green tea) sweets too!
My favourite is their baguette and kouign amann.
My Breton husband really loves their kouign amann.
And their baguette is just perfect for me.
(As those popular bakeries only have sourdough baguettes, but I don't really like sourdough bread....  Their baguette is white.)




さて、今回はガレット・デ・ロワです!
普通はマジパンかアップルか選ぶものですが、ここはなんとありがたい、二つのミックス!
迷う必要なし!
ミックスのフィリングはもちろん、パイ生地もさくさくもっちりでおいしかった～!

And of course, their galette des rois.
Usually you choose filling, frangipane or apple.
But, you don't need to think about it!  They have frangipane, apple and mixed one!!
Of course we chose mixed one.
Needless to say, the filling was very good, but also the pastry was crispy and puffy.  Loved it!




フェーヴは、今年も私が頂きました!
フェーヴがかわいいと嬉しい～!
どのベーカリーがどんなフェーヴを入れてるのかも楽しみの一つです。

And the feve goes to .... me!!
The feve was so cute too!
I like checking what kind of feves bakeries using.

Galette des Rois 2018 ~ Patisserie Sainte Anne (パティスリー・サン・タン｜ベーカリー｜ロンドン）

先週土曜日は、エピファニー（公現節）でした!

私がよく行くエリア、ボンドストリートにおしゃれなフレンチカフェが出来てました。

There is a lovely cafe in Bond Street where I often go.




セントラルロンドンは土地代も高いだけに、カフェといってもチェーンが多くて、
あんまりステキな個人経営のカフェがないのが悩みでしたが、ここはかなりいい感じ!
外に出てるテラス席もパリっぽい。
オックスフォードストリートから一本入っただけで、かなり静かなのです。

Most of cafes near Oxford Street are chains, not many nice independent cafes.
However, this cafe is lovely Paris style!
And also, it's in the quiet area, just off from Oxford Street.



カウンターが真ん中にドンとあり、かなりこじんまりしていますが、地下もあります。
ワインバーなので、カフェ＆ケーキよりはランチやディナーを食べるビストロ風。
でも、もちろんカフェもありますよ。

The cafe is cosy on the ground floor, but they have downstairs too.
It is also a wine bar.  You would want to have a lunch or dinner rather than cafe & cakes.
Of course, they have a good coffee too.




この日はランチで。
フレンチといえばオニオンスープ!
濃厚なオニオンスープはチーズを乗せたバゲットと一緒に。
相方さんはココヴァン。(鳥の赤ワイン煮込み。）
鳥がほろほろでおいしかった…。
これはまた食べたい!
フレンチならではのオイスターもあり…。
お茶するカフェではありませんが、パリジェンヌを気取ってワイングラスとおいしいものを食べに来たいカフェです。

We went there for lunch.
Typical French soup, Onion soup!  Their onion soup is very thick and come with cheese on baguette.
My mister had a coq au vin.  (chicken braised with red wine)
The chicken was so tender and soft.....  Yum!! I want to eat it again!
They also have oysters.....
It's not a cafe to have teatime with cakes, but perfect for a glass of wine and delicious food, just like a Paris people do.

私がよく行くエリア、ボンドストリートにおしゃれなフレンチカフェが出来てました。

There is a lovely cafe in Bond Street where I often go.




セントラルロンドンは土地代も高いだけに、カフェといってもチェーンが多くて、
あんまりステキな個人経営のカフェがないのが悩みでしたが、ここはかなりいい感じ!
外に出てるテラス席もパリっぽい。
オックスフォードストリートから一本入っただけで、かなり静かなのです。

先週末は、北西ロンドンのワルサムストウで開催されたフェアへ買い付けに。
ワルサムストウは、以前は治安の悪いエリアで有名でしたが、ここ最近は注目のエリアに。
実際私の友人たちもこの辺のエリアに何人か移り住んでいて、いい感じのカフェやお店ができていると聞きます。
そんなワルサムストウ、いろいろ開拓したいと思っていたんだけれどうちからはなんせ正反対で遠い…。
フェアがいい機会だったのでちょこちょこ歩いてステキなカフェを見つけました!

Last weekend, we went to Walthamstow to go to a vintage fair for buying.
Walthamstow is becoming an upcoming area.
In fact, some of my friends have moved near Walthamstow and told us there are some nice spots.
I always wanted to hang around and find some nice places here, but it is too far from my home!
However, the fair was a good opportunity to go there, and I found a lovely cafe.





ワルサムストウ・セントラルの駅からちょっと歩いたところにあるカフェ、ブーラー＆コー。

Buher & Co, walk around 20 minutes from Walthamstow Central station.




シンプル・モダンな家具とグリーンで、明るい雰囲気。
入り口はそんなに広くないけれど、

It is very bright atmosphere with simple and modern furniture and greens.
The entrance area is not very spacious, but,




実は奥にひろびろとした空間があります。

There are spacious room in the back.




カウンターにはおいしそうなケーキがずらり。
今回はランチだけで、食べられなくって、残念!
いい感じだというだけで選んだので、ヴィーガン・ベジタリアンカフェとはつゆ知らず。
ケーキもグルテンフリーのものがあります。

There were so many yummy look cakes in the counter....
It was a shame I couldn't have dessert this time1
It was actually a vegetarian & vegan cafe.
They have gluten free cakes too.




実はあんまりベジタリアン・カフェは好きではない…。
というのは、やっぱり野菜だけに工夫を凝らしてると独特な味があったりで、
(変わったスパイスとかが苦手なのです。）
それほど食欲をそそられるメニューがなかったりするので。
今回は、他のテーブルで食べているのを見ておいしそうなのを選んでみました。
私はインドネシアのガドガドをチョイス。
ガドガドって知らなかったのですが、温野菜にピーナッツソースをかけたサラダのようなものらしく。
こちらのカフェはベビーポテトとケールやブロッコリーをいためた(もしくは焼いた?）もので、ベビーポテトの皮がいい感じにパリッとしていて好み!
すごくおいしかったです。
相方さんはベジ・フライアップ。
コーンとポレンタのケーキに、焼きトマト、ほうれん草、目玉焼きにアボカドなど、
ベジタリアンのブレックファストメニューみたいな感じ。
こちらも色々な味が楽しめておいしかった!
夜は夜でグリーンカレーやビビンバもあるらしく、こちらも試して見たい!
ケーキもすごくおいしそうだった～!

To be honest, I am not a fan of vegetarian dishes.
I love vegetables, but vegetarian menu are often used ethnic spices or taste, and I am not fond of those.
This time I looked around tables and found a dish looked nice.
It was Indonesian Gado Gado.
I'd never heard or seen this dish.
Apparently, it is warm salad with peanut sauce.
This cafe's Gado Gado was Fried (or oven baked) baby potatoes and broccoli and kale.
The baby potatoes' skin was so crispy, which I loved it!
It was delicious.
My mister had a vege fry-up, which had a corn and polenta cake with fried tomato, spinach, sunny-side egg, and avocado.
It was like a vege version of English breakfast.
That was very good too.
They have Green curry and bibimbap at night menu, that sounds very interesting! 
I want to try their cakes too!

先週末は、北西ロンドンのワルサムストウで開催されたフェアへ買い付けに。
ワルサムストウは、以前は治安の悪いエリアで有名でしたが、ここ最近は注目のエリアに。
実際私の友人たちもこの辺のエリアに何人か移り住んでいて、いい感じのカフェやお店ができていると聞きます。
そんなワルサムストウ、いろいろ開拓したいと思っていたんだけれどうちからはなんせ正反対で遠い…。
フェアがいい機会だったのでちょこちょこ歩いてステキなカフェを見つけました!

Last weekend, we went to Walthamstow to go to a vintage fair for buying.
Walthamstow is becoming an upcoming area.
In fact, some of my friends have moved near Walthamstow and told us there are some nice spots.
I always wanted to hang around and find some nice places here, but it is too far from my home!
However, the fair was a good opportunity to go there, and I found a lovely cafe.





ワルサムストウ・セントラルの駅からちょっと歩いたところにあるカフェ、ブーラー＆コー。

Buher & Co, walk around 20 minutes from Walthamstow Central station.




シンプル・モダンな家具とグリーンで、明るい雰囲気。
入り口はそんなに広くないけれど、

It is very bright atmosphere with simple and modern furniture and greens.
The entrance area is not very spacious, but,




実は奥にひろびろとした空間があります。

There are spacious room in the back.




カウンターにはおいしそうなケーキがずらり。
今回はランチだけで、食べられなくって、残念!
いい感じだというだけで選んだので、ヴィーガン・ベジタリアンカフェとはつゆ知らず。
ケーキもグルテンフリーのものがあります。

There were so many yummy look cakes in the counter....
It was a shame I couldn't have dessert this time1
It was actually a vegetarian & vegan cafe.
They have gluten free cakes too.




実はあんまりベジタリアン・カフェは好きではない…。
というのは、やっぱり野菜だけに工夫を凝らしてると独特な味があったりで、
(変わったスパイスとかが苦手なのです。）
それほど食欲をそそられるメニューがなかったりするので。
今回は、他のテーブルで食べているのを見ておいしそうなのを選んでみました。
私はインドネシアのガドガドをチョイス。
ガドガドって知らなかったのですが、温野菜にピーナッツソースをかけたサラダのようなものらしく。

It's been ages I wrote about my cafe hunting.
I do cafe hunting regularly, but I just didn't have time to write my blog.
There are lots of nice cafes in Central, however, we don't really fancy going to central now...
So we usually go to Zone 2 or 3.
This time, we went to Balham where is in South London in Zone 3.
There are lots of nice cafes there!
This cafe Milk is very popular in Instagram.
You see a long queue in weekend brunch time!



この日は天気もよくてテラス席が出ていたので、回転が速かった!

It was very lovely weather, so people were sitting at terrace seats.
So it was no harsh to queue.





中は白が基調のナチュラルインテリア。
明るい雰囲気で好き。

The interior is white based and used natural wooden furniture.
Loved it!



ボトルに緑を入れたアレンジが好き。

Loved the greens in bottles!




今回のお目当ては、こちらのアイスコーヒー!
ボトルもかわいい!　もらっちゃいました。
アイスコーヒーってなかなかこっちではないのですが(昨今のカフェブームであるにはあるけど）
こちらのアイスコーヒーは私にとってはなつかしのコーヒー牛乳という感じで超ツボ!
すでに甘味が入ってるので、ブラック好きの人はだめかもですが、
甘党の方、コーヒー牛乳好きの人はぜひ。
相方が頼んだスムージーもとてもおいしかった!

The reason why I wanted to come here...was this their original ice coffee!
The bottle is so cute too!
It was already sweeten and milk added, it was definitely my favourite iced coffee!
My mister's smoothie was really good too!



ランチは、私は白身魚のフライのサンドイッチ。
さくさくがたまりません！
相方はシンプルに、スモークサーモンとポーチドエッグ。

My lunch was deep fried cod sandwich.
The fish was so crispy and fresh!
My partner's got a simple smoke salmon and poached eggs.




前回はコーンフリッターを頂きました!
ベーコン、アボカド、ハルミ、トマトチリソースも入ってボリューム満点、ランチに最適。
そのあとケーキも。
なんとこれ、ピスタチオと柚子のケーキ!　(相方さんのはヘーゼルナッツのケーキ）
わりとリッチで、シェアすればよかった…。
でも柚子がほんのり香って、すごくおいしかった!　
日本ブームで、今やそのへんのカフェでも柚子や抹茶のお菓子が手に入るなんて、いい時代になったもんだ!

カフェ紹介もお久しぶり。
カフェ巡りしてることはしてるんですけど、最近なかなかブログを書く時間がなくて。
中心地にもいいカフェはありますが、最近は中心地に行くのがいやで、
他のいいカフェに行こうと思ったらゾーン2や３のちょっとはなれたところまで遠出。
今回はずっと気になってたカフェへ行ってみました。
