先日、４０の大台に乗った相方さん。
これは盛大に祝わなければ!
ちょうど、私たちのフラットウォーミングパーティ(引越しパーティ）もまだだったし、
フラットのお披露目もかねて、ホームパーティをしました!
大人数をフラットに呼んでパーティなんて、私も相方さんも初めて。
My partner finally got his 40s last month.
We had to have a big party to celebrate!
Since we haven't had our flat-warming party yet,
we had a home-party at our flat.
We had never had a big home party.
料理はどうする? 家具もないけどどうする?
いろいろ不安でストレスもあったけど（！）
今まで眠っていたヴィンテージのケーキプレートなど、食器たちもお披露目できて楽しかったです!
What about foods? We don't have any chairs or sofa!
There were something to worry.
But I had a fun, such as using my vintage cake plates and decorate with them :)
なんだかとってもラブリーなコーディネートですが、メインは実はそうめん。(笑）
やっぱり何かジャパニーズなものを期待されるし、出したかった。
しかし、何か凝ったものを作る気力も(翌日旅行でパッキングしてなかった）実力もナシ。
ということで、簡単なそうめんにしてみましたが、とっても好評でほっと一安心。
It looked lovely vintage style, but actually, the main food was Japanese noodle. lol
Everyone expects something Japanese, and also I wanted to treat them with Japanese food too.
But I had no energy to cook something taking time to cook.
(because we had to pack and leave for holiday next day.)
So I chose Japanese noodle because it is so easy to cook.
I was relieved as everyone liked it!
ケーキが足りるか不安だったので、バースデーの本人自ら手作りタルトを披露してもらいました。
イギリスに着てから大好きになったお酒、ピムスも作ったよ!
このために買ったヴィンテージのジャグもお披露目 ：）
We were worried whether if we had enough cakes to everyone,
so I asked him to bake an apple tart.
I made Pimm's too. :)
I was happy because I finally could use my vintage jag :)
ケーキスタンドも、この日やっと初披露。
お花も飾りたかったけれど、翌日出発なのに今さら買うのもなあ…。
そんなわけで、お庭からいただきました！
鮮やかなオレンジのバラ。
ガーデニングはぜんぜんしてなくて、どれも前の人の置き土産なので、
どんな花が咲くのかいつも楽しみ。
The cake stand also was used for the first time.
I wanted to buy flowers but I had to leave home next day.
So I picked the roses from my garden.
Vivid neon orange roses.
We have never done gardening. Those flowers were already in our garden.
We are always excited to know what bloom next.
お菓子・スナックも盛りだくさん。
個人的な大ヒットは虹色のマシュマロ。
袋を開けた瞬間からいい匂いがふあ～ん。
どこで買ったかは次回に!!
We bought lots of sweets and snacks too.
My favourite was the rainbow marshmallows.
You can smell it when you open the bag!

この日本独特のケーキはやっぱりみんなからも大好評でした!!

I've got a birthday cake from Japanese famous bakery cafe in London, Lanka.
It was a green tea sponge cake with cream and strawberries.
Everyone loved this typical Japanese cake.
It was so yummy!!
友達からもケーキをいくつか頂いて…。
結局ケーキが余った状態に。
このケーキも食べたかったけれどおなかいっぱいでした～!
We got a few cakes from friends too.... In the end, we had too much cakes.
I wanted to eat this cake too, but I was so full.
来れなかった友達もいたけれど、記念すべき４０の誕生日を、
たくさんの友達に祝ってもらって、おうちもほめてもらえて、よかったね!
とっても楽しくて幸せだったけれど、すごく大変だったのでたぶんもうやんない。(笑）
Some of our friends couldn't make it,
but we had a really good time in his memorial 40th birthday with lots of friends.
We had a fun and were really happy but it was so hard to prepare, so I guess we won't do it again. lol
さて、先週末からとってもいいお天気が続いているロンドン。
オリンピックの奇跡か!?
週末はこのホームパーティに来られなかった友達を招いて、ティーパーティをしました。
By the way, it's been beautiful weather in London.
Is it the Olympics' miracle?
Last weekend, we invited some friends to our tea party who couldn't make it to our home party.
４人だけの少人数。(ほんとは６～８人だったけれどキャンセルされた。）
これくらいがちょうどよい！
ホームパーティのときにはなかった椅子も２脚増えたので、テーブルでお茶することができました!
(引っ越して６ヶ月、はじめてテーブルについての食事…）
集め始めたヴィンテージのカップたちもこの日初めてお披露目することができてうれしかった!
It was only 4 of us. (We invited 6 people but some of them cancelled...)
It was just a right number of people!
We got 2 chairs by the time so we could sit at the table.
(It was the first time to eat at the table since we moved in in January....)
My favourite vintage tea cup collection were used for the first time too. :)
せっかくお日様が出ているんだから、外に出ない手はない!
ということで、最初はお庭でピクニック。
シャンパンとラズベリーでさわやかに。
Although I set up the table nicely, we couldn't resist to go out in the sunshine.
So we had a picnic in our garden in the beginning.
We opened champagne with raspberries.
そしてそのあと、相方さん自慢のブルターニュのクレープを焼いてもらいました!
なのに、２人のゲストのうち一人はなんと断食中!(ムスリムじゃないのに!）
せっかくの相方さんのクレープ、お披露目できたのは一人だけれど、
すごく気に入ったみたいで良かった!
私も大好き、とってもおいしかったです!
ホームパーティは大変だけれど、
これくらいの少人数のティーパーティならまたやりたい!
ティーカップももっと集めたいな～!
After that, my partner cooked crepes. He came from the crepe country, Breetagne.
However, 1 of our 2 guests was fasting!! (She was not even Muslim!)
But the other guest liked it.
I love his crepes. It was so yummy!
The big home party is very hard to prepare,
but I can do this kind of a small tea party.
I want to collect more tea cups!!
さて、こんなテイストのティーカップたちが、
もしかしたら来年の春に京都でお披露目できるかもしれません!

これくらいがちょうどよい！
ホームパーティのときにはなかった椅子も２脚増えたので、テーブルでお茶することができました!
(引っ越して６ヶ月、はじめてテーブルについての食事…）
集め始めたヴィンテージのカップたちもこの日初めてお披露目することができてうれしかった!
It was only 4 of us. (We invited 6 people but some of them cancelled...)
It was just a right number of people!

After that, my partner cooked crepes. He came from the crepe country, Breetagne.
However, 1 of our 2 guests was fasting!! (She was not even Muslim!)
But the other guest liked it.
I love his crepes. It was so yummy!
The big home party is very hard to prepare,
but I can do this kind of a small tea party.
I want to collect more tea cups!!
