How was your Christmas?
We had a very homey quiet Christmas.
皆様、クリスマスはいかがお過ごしでしたか?
うちは、今年はゲストもなく、二人きりでのんびりぐうたらクリスマス。
クリスマスデコレーションはちょっとマンネリ化してきたかな…。
毎年ちょっとずつ集めているので、結局同じような飾り付けになってしまって。
といっても、毎年２週間ぐらい前にあわてて、って感じなので、まあ、そんなにこだわりもなく…。
でも、好きなブロガーさんが毎年気合いの入った飾り付けをしているのを見ると、
ああ、私ももうちょっと工夫すればよかった～と後悔。
まあ、でも今年はこれが限界です。(笑）
I feel like my Christmas decoration is same every year....
I am collecting Christmas decorating items little by little.
I always started decorating in last minutes, but when I see my favourite bloggers decorated their home very lovely,
I thought I could have done more.....
テーブルの飾りつけは、このゆきんこちゃんボーブルを見つけたときに、白ベースと決定。
ほんとはこのラメのギラギラの枝は好きではないんだけれど、毎年自分でペイントする気力がなくついついこれを使ってしまう。
For the table, I decided that white is the base colour since I found the snow kid bauble.
フランス語になったのはただ単に、手持ちのカードでHappy/Merry Xmasが出来なかったから…
(RもMもPも一枚ずつしかなかった…!）
We put "Joyeux Noel" just because we couldn't put "Happy/Merry Xmas" with my cards.....
今年からうちのクリスマスツリーはフェイク。
毎年木を切って一ヶ月もたたずに捨てるというのはやっぱりちょっと申し訳ない…。
めんどくさくないしね。
去年本物を飾ったので雰囲気は楽しめたし。
飾りつけはThe Mad Vintage用に買い集めていたヴィンテージサンタがかわいくってついつい自分用に。
サンタカラーでまとめました。
ほんとはもっとサンタを飾りたかったんだけれど、これだけしか集まらず!
５０-６０年代の愛嬌あるサンタ、これからも集めていきたいです。
From this year, we use a fake tree.
I don't like the idea to cut a tree for a month every year.
Also we don't need any care for that :)
I bought those vintage santas for The Mad Vintage, but they are so cute that I used them for my tree :)
I wanted to collect them more, but couldn't find them.
I would like to try to collect more!
私のクリスマス気分は盛り上がるのは遅かったけれど、
クリスマス一週間前に友人とちょっくらパリへ小旅行。
（フランス出身の相方をロンドンに置き去りにして…!）
そのお話はまた後日するとして、そこで一気にクリスマスショッピング。
そして、２３日にはクリスマスパーティにお呼ばれしました。
My Christmas feeling came quite late, but finally did when I went to Paris for a weekend last week.
I went there with my friend with leaving my French partner in London......!!
I will write about it later, but I did start my Christmas shopping in Paris.
And also I was invited to Christmas party by my another friend.

私、ロンドンに来てからこんなにたくさんの日本人女子ときゃあきゃあ騒げたの初めてでうれしかったです!
一品持ち寄りということで、私が選んだのは抹茶カステラ。
(料理の出来ない）相方に出来て私にできないことないだろ!と思ったけれど、見事に撃沈。
タイルじゃん!っていわれました…。
こうなったらどこかでパネトーネを買っていくしかない…。と沈んでいたら、
仕事から帰った相方がささっと作ってくれました。ありがとお…。
ほんと、ベイキングって難しい。相方がベイキングできる人でよかった!!
The founder of Freshly Picked Tokyo invited to a girls' Christmas party at her house.
There were only Japanese girls and that was my very first time to chat and have a fun with such a lot of Japanese girls. It was so fun!!
I had to bring some food and I chose Green Tea cake.
I thought it would be easy because my partner can bake it.. (coz he can't cook.)
But I was wrong.... It failed...............
I was thinking I had to buy a cake, but my partner bake it quickly after he came back from work...!!
I think him, what a great partner I have got :)
クリスマスディナーもなんだか毎年一緒に…。
イブはビーフシチュー、クリスマス当日はフランスからのダック・コンフィ。
今年のダックコンフィはちょっと塩気がきつくて残念。
来年は自分でローストチキンやってみようかなあ。

Beef stew at Eve, and French duck confits at Christmas day.
The duck confit was a bit salty this year.
Maybe I would try a roast chicken next year.......
毎年、「クリスマスのリトルプレゼント」と称してチョコレートやお菓子がたくさん。
今年のクリスマスティータイムの主役はパリで友人に教えてもらったサダハル・アオキのチョコロンとチョコレート。
試食した抹茶チョコレートがおいしくて感動!!
抹茶スィーツが大好きな相方にぜひ持って帰らねば、とクリスマスプレゼントとして購入。
相方曰く、「今までで一番おいしいチョコレート!」とのこと。
日本にもお店あるのかな?
そして私の失敗抹茶カステラ。抹茶フィナンシェといえばそう見えなくもない。(笑）
ケーキはやっぱりなんだかんだでショートケーキ。
でもこのスポンジも、私の失敗カステラもかなり固くて…。ふわふわスポンジにするにはどうしたらよいのか。
それに、今年もダブルクリームで飾ったけれど、やっぱり日本の生クリームとは違うなあ。
こってりバタークリームっぽくて、濃い…。
日本の生クリームに近いクリーム、どこかにないのかなあ。
Every year, we buy lots of sweets as little Christmas presents.
This year, I bought a box of chocolate and chocoron (macarons coated with chocolate) from Sadaharu Aoki in Paris.
My friend told me about the sweets shop.
It is Japanese patissier's shop and they have fabulous green tea chocolate. I tried them and it was soooooo good!!
I had to buy for my partner who really love green tea sweets.
He said that the chocolate was the best ever!
Also my crap green tea cake and I bake another cake for ourselves....
But those cakes were a bit hard....
Baking is so difficult!!
今年も去年のように、クリスマスプレゼントはクリスマス前に渡してしまった私たち。
でもやっぱり当日あけるものがないと寂しいので、なんだかんだでいつもリトルプレゼントが。
(今回はフランスからのお土産のお菓子で相方はハッピー：））
今年の私のクリスマスプレゼントは、ブーツの予定だったけれど、なかなか自分の好みのブーツが見つからず…。
自分へのプレゼントとしてパリで買ったレペットの赤い靴をプレゼントしてくれることになりました!
そして、もう一つ、自分たちへのプレゼントとして、ポータブルのスピーカー。
小さい割にはかなり音質もよくて、お気に入りです。
これで、キッチンで料理しながら音楽が聴ける!
クリスマスが終わるとそのまま流れるように年越し。
今年こそはきっちり大掃除をしないと…。
We already gave Christmas presents each other before Christmas as last year,
but we always prepare little something to open for Christmas day.
I bought lots of sweets from France for my French partner. :)
I wanted boots this year, but couldn't find the nice ones........
In the end, he gave me a pair of shoes from Repetto which I bought for myself in Paris :D
Another present was a portable speaker.
Finally I can listen to music in the kitchen with cooking!! ;)
