There is Alice's wonderland.

In the little wonderland, there is a full of curious things of Alice's world!

こちらは、インスタグラムで有名なクリエイター、タケオミカさんの作品が買えるお店です。

徹底した世界観で独自のアリスワールドを作り出すミカさんは、

作品を発信したインスタグラムで世界中にフォロワーを広げ、活躍の場を広げていらっしゃいます。

 This is the shop of Mica Takeo, who is a famous creator.

She creates her own sweet & lovely wonderland.

She put photos of her arts in Instagram and she became one of the famous Instagramers.

There are her fans all over the world now.

ミカさんや、そのほかの作家さんたちの作る不思議の国に、本当に脱帽!

私も小さい頃からアリスファンで、アリスのことなら結構知っていると思っていたけど、

たぶん足元にも及びませんね…。

I have loved Alice in Wonderland since I was little, so I flattered myself that I am a big fan of Alice.

But....  I think I was nothing lol

お店ではミカさんが制作した作品を買うことができます。

私はこの３枚目のドアの作品をどうしてもフラットの廊下に飾りたくて、と思っていたんですが、

残念ながらこちらの作品は非売品。

I wanted her doors in the third photo to decorate in the corridor in my flat, but unfortunately they were not for sale.

お店自体はとても小さいのですが、どこを見回しても素晴らしい作品たち＆ステキなワンダーランドが広がっているので、
どうしても長居してしまいます!

The shop is cosy, but you can stay forever to see her wonderland and lovely things!

London Fashion Snap no.80 ~ Mannish style shirt dress

今年はぜひロング丈のコートを買いたいと思ってる。
マニッシュな感じで着こなしたい。

Run Rabbit Run Vintageのようこさん。
私のことをご存知だったみたいで、「Madさんですか？」と聞いてくださり感激しました。
イギリスのかわいいヴィンテージをたくさん買い付けていらっしゃったみたいです!

今年はぜひロング丈のコートを買いたいと思ってる。
マニッシュな感じで着こなしたい。
と、去年から思っていて(去年は買い逃した）、
今年の夏、まさに理想のスタイルで歩いていらっしゃる方がいたのでぱちり。

Boston Manor (ボストン・マナー｜マナーハウス｜ロンドン）

ロンドンオープンハウスの第2弾、またまた近場で。
なんと家から歩いて10分のところにマナーハウスがありました。

London Open House no.2, Boston Manor House.
It's actually 10 mins walk away from my flat!

ボストンマナー。
隣駅の名がその名の通り「ボストンマナー」なのですが、本当にマナーハウスがあるとは思っていませんでした。

I realized the next Tube station of mine was Boston Manor, but I didn't know there is a manor house.

ボストンマナーは17世紀に建てられた貴族のお屋敷ですが、
1920年代にカウンシル(市）に買い取られ、敷地は公園として公共にオープンされました。

Boston Manor was built in the 17th century as a house of a noble family.
The house and the garden were sold to the council in the 1920s, then opened to public after that.

邸宅は第2次世界大戦でかなりのダメージを受けたようで、
オリジナルの部分が残ってるところはかなり少ないです。

The house was severely damaged in the WWⅡ.
After the war, the house was restored by the support of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

圧巻なのはこのゴージャスな部屋。
戦後、ダメージを受けた邸宅は王太后(エリザベス女王のお母さん）の援助により１９６０年代に修復されました。
１７世紀の当時の雰囲気が伝わります。

The highlight of this house is this State Drawing room on the first floor.
It stays as the same design as the 17th century.

天井やカーテンレールの部分の彫刻など、美しいつくりにため息。

Lovely details on the ceiling and curtain poles....

暖炉部分にも。

The fireplace was gorgeous too.

修復後、ビジターセンターとしてオープンしたこのマナーハウス、
他のマナーハウスに比べてゴージャスなのはやはりあのメインの部屋のみで、
他の部分は装飾はほとんどなくシンプルで、 マナーハウスというよりは資料館みたいな感じ。
というのも、驚いたことに、このマナーハウスの一部は戦後カウンシルフラット(市営団地）になっていたらしいんです!

After the restoration, this house was opened as a visitor centre.
Compared with other manor houses, the gorgeous part of Boston Monor was only the State Drawing room.
The rest of the rooms were quite simple.
As a matter of fact, some rooms of this house became council flat!!!

この日はオープンハウスということで、一室が公開されていました。
一家あたり、この部屋と、隣にキッチンがついています。
バスルームはたぶん共有。
間取り的にはかなり質素な1ルームですが、天井の高さ、この暖炉の豪華さが…やっぱりマナーハウス!
ドーントン・アビーに住んでるみたいな感じ!?　笑
マナーハウスを団地として貸し出すなんて…信じられない…。
それだけ、戦後の住宅地不足は深刻だったのかもしれません。
(でも何もマナーハウスを改装しなくても、と思うんだけど…敷地広いのに…）
スタッフの人に聞いたわけではないから確かではないですが、
相方と私は、まだあそこに人が住んでいると思います…。

It was Open House event, so we could see one of the room of the council flat part.
A flat has this room and a kitchen.  Bathroom was probably shared.
It looked a simple plan, but it is still a manor house, look at this details on the wooden wall!
I personally can't believe that the historical manor house became a council flat....
I wonder there are still people living there...!?

On the 2nd floor, there was a original wall paper from the 17th century!

 敷地内の公園はもちろん、マナーハウスも公共にオープンしています。
(建物は期間限定）

家からこんな近いところに、ステキな公園見つけられてうれしい!

I am glad that I found a nice park near our flat!

ロンドンオープンハウスの第2弾、またまた近場で。
なんと家から歩いて10分のところにマナーハウスがありました。

It's actually 10 mins walk away from my flat!

ボストンマナー。
隣駅の名がその名の通り「ボストンマナー」なのですが、本当にマナーハウスがあるとは思っていませんでした。

I realized the next Tube station of mine was Boston Manor, but I didn't know there is a manor house.

Favourite addresses in Avignon ~ アヴィニョンのおすすめアドレス

Lovely Summer Vacance in Provence ~ 南仏プロヴァンスでの夏休み　Jul 2015  vol.11

 アヴィニョンのMad的おすすめアドレスをご紹介します!
まずはホテルから。
 個人的にはホテルよりシャンブルドット（B&B)のほうがすきなのですが、
アヴィニョンでは、やはりお祭りとかぶったからか、見つけることができず、ホテルに。
シャンブルドットでオーナーにおすすめを教えてもらったりして、
アットホームなサービスや会話を楽しむのが好きなのですが、(フランスでは主に相方のみですが。）
ホテルといえどもこちらのオーナーもとても親切でした!

I will write about my favourite addresses in Avignon!
Starting from the accommodation.
I personally prefer chambre d'hote (B&B) to hotel.
But we couldn't find any chambre d'hotes in Avignon.
I guess it was very busy term because of the festival.
So we booked a room with a hotel in the middle of Old City.
The reason why I prefer chambre d'hote is at-home atmosphere and enjoy conversations with owners,
 but we actually enjoyed conversation with the owner there!

ホテルは旧市街のど真ん中、法王庁宮殿からも近いです。
私たちは一番安い部屋(というかこの部屋しか空いてなかった）だったのですが、
入り口の隣で、一階の喧騒が近いからこの値段だったのでしょうが、
壁も厚いし、まったく気になりませんでした。
部屋もきれいで過ごしやすかったです!

Our room was the cheapest in the hotel, probably because it was just next to the entrance and on the ground floor.
But it was very comfortable enough.

鍵のキーホルダーがアンティークなのが素敵!
ホテルの扉もアンティークでした。(鍵だけはもちろんオートロックになっていますが。）
こちらのオーナーが、ほんとにいろいろアヴィニョンのことについて教えてくれて。
インフォに行かなくてもよかったほどです。
基本的な観光ポイントから、オーナーが個人的におすすめのレストランやウォーキングコースまで、いろいろ教えてくれて助かりました！
ちなみに、駐車場も最初は駅前の駐車場に止めていたのですが、(めちゃ高い）
法王庁の地下の駐車場(駅前と比べて安い）と提携していて10%オフになるので、それも助かりました!

Love the key holder of the room key, it was antique!
The entrance door was also antique.  (of course the lock was automatic.)
The hotel owner was very kind, he told us absolutely everything about Avignon.
Not only the basic info, he told us where is good restaurants and walking routes too.
He also told us about the parking area in Avignon.
We initially parked our car in the parking by the station (very expensive),
but this hotel has 10% off offer with the parking by Palais des Papes.
It was very helpful.

アヴィニョンにはかわいいお店も。
時間がなくてホテルの近くしか見て回れませんでしたが、さすが南仏一のシティだけあって楽しそう。

There are some cute shops in Avignon.
We didn't have much time in Avignon, so I just found some near our hotel though.

特に、ホテルのすぐ近くにあったこのお店に一目ぼれ。
衝動買いしちゃいました。

Specially, I love this shop near our hotel.

カラフルでポップな色合いのデザインの雑貨がいっぱい。
私はずーっと探していたピカソシャツ
(と私は呼んでますが…（フランスではブルターニュシャツと呼ばれますが…。）
日本ではバスクシャツ？　肩部分が白くて、胸から下部分にボーダー。 ）
の、理想的なサイズ、生地に出会ったので、荷物になるにもかかわらず、買っちゃいました!

They have a lot of good design items with pop and colourful.
I found the Breton shirt what I EXACTLY wanted, so I did.

さて、お食事どころです。
着いてさっそく法王庁見学してたら、すっかりレストランのお昼休みのことを忘れていて、
行きたいお店がどこもランチ終了という悲劇。
そんな中、その行きたかったお店の人のお勧めで紹介してもらったのがこちらのお店。
シエスタなしで営業中なのはうれしい。

Now, where to eat!
After we arrived in Avignon, we went to Palais des Papes.
And when we came out, the lunchtime was already finished.
All of the restaurants we wanted to go was closed until dinner time.
But, one of the restaurants' staff recommended us a restaurant opens all day.

イタリアンベースのこちらのお店、すごく陽気なスタッフの方がお勧めしてくれたメニューがこちら!
ビーフタルタル。
タルタルはビーフに限らず、サーモンなど、プロヴァンスではよく見かけるメニュー。
確かに夏の暑い日にはフレッシュでおいしいかも。
こちらがスタッフの一押しだったので頂きましたが、本当においしかった!
チーズとバジルやハーブが入っていて、お肉の生臭みもなく。
残念ながら、私の胃は生肉があまり得意ではなかったのが残念…。
逆に、私より胃が繊細で私よりも生肉に抵抗意識があった相方は大絶賛で、私の分も完食。
シェアで本当によかった、私は右のメニューのほうが好み。というかめちゃくちゃおいしかった!
名前は忘れましたが、蛍烏賊のような小さいイカに肉をつめて、トマト味で煮込んでご飯と一緒に…という日本人が好きそうな味です。
トマト味といっても、トマトの酸味そのものではなく、イカとお肉のおいし～い出汁がよく煮込まれていて本当においしい!

As usual, we asked a staff what they recommend and he told us it's beef tartar steak.
Tartar was very popular menu in Provence, we saw everywhere.
I guess it's suitable menu in hot Provence!
It was very delicious!!  It was with cheese and herbs, so tasted very nice.
Unfortunately, my stomach seemed not to like the raw meat though.....
On the other hand, my partner, who have more sensitive stomach than mine and didn't really like raw meat, did love it and finished it for me.
I was very glad we shared plates, I actually preferred the other dish.
It was stuffed squid with tomato sauce with rice.
Tomato sauce was not just tomato taste, it came with the juice of squid and meat.....  Lovely taste!!
 

こんなおいしいところならデザートも食べなきゃいけんでしょ、ということで、
またもスタッフの人におすすめを聞いたらば、「ヌテラ・ティラミス」と即答。
横にいた常連客のお姉さんも、「これ、最高よ!」とのお言葉だし、
何よりヌテラ・モンスターの相方がこのデザートを拒否できるわけはナシ。
もちろん、おいしゅうございました～。
ヌテラとティラミスって、甘ったるそうなイメージですが、ティラミス自体がかなり甘さ控えめだったので、とてもいいバランス。
もちろん普通のティラミスもありますよ!

We couldn't miss their dessert there.
Their popular dessert was "Nutella Tiramisu"....
The lady who seemed their regular customer told us "it's the best!!" too...
And also, my partner who is Nutella monster couldn't resist, of course.
It was very delicious too!
Nutella tiramisu sounded very sweet, but their tiramisu was not too sweet, so it was good balance.
They have normal tiramisu too, of course!

さて、ホテルのオーナーが、「超おすすめ!」と教えてくれたレストランがこちら。
建物内には客席のない、このテラスエリアのみの家族経営の小さなお店です。
本当はディナーに来たかったのですが、予約がいっぱいで、翌日のランチでリベンジしました!

Our hotel owner recommended this restaurant.
There is no table inside of the building. Tables are just what you see in the photo.
It's a very little restaurant.
We wanted to come here for dinner, but already fully booked.
So we came back for lunch next day.

いろいろメニューはあったのですが、とにかく暑くて、二人ともサラダしか食べられないような状態。
(私はサーモンタルタルに興味津々だったのですが、胃がNOといっていた…）
私はシーフードサラダ、相方はシーザーサラダを。
どちらもカラフルだしボリューム満点。
相方のシーザーサラダのチキンはなんと衣つき!　こういうタイプは初めて見たなあ。

There was a various menu, but it was SO hot day, our stomach only accepted salad.
(Well, I wanted to have salmon tartar, but my stomach said no.....)
I took seafood salad, my partner took Caesar salad.
Both of them were colourful and massive!

デザートは相方とシェア。(といっても私は無理だったのでほとんど相方が食べましたが…）
こちらはなんと、イチゴのスープ。
スープといってももちろん、冷製。
さわやかなのど越しだけど、甘くておいしい。
クッキーとすいかの組み合わせは微妙でしたが。(笑）
他のメニューも試してみたかった!

We share a dessert.  (I had a bad stomach, so my partner had most of it though.)
It was strawberry soup!
It's cold soup, sweet and mellow, but it was very fresh.
I wanted to try other menu too!

Lovely Summer Vacance in Provence ~ 南仏プロヴァンスでの夏休み　Jul 2015  vol.11

 アヴィニョンのMad的おすすめアドレスをご紹介します!
まずはホテルから。
 個人的にはホテルよりシャンブルドット（B&B)のほうがすきなのですが、
アヴィニョンでは、やはりお祭りとかぶったからか、見つけることができず、ホテルに。
シャンブルドットでオーナーにおすすめを教えてもらったりして、
アットホームなサービスや会話を楽しむのが好きなのですが、(フランスでは主に相方のみですが。）
ホテルといえどもこちらのオーナーもとても親切でした!

I will write about my favourite addresses in Avignon!
Starting from the accommodation.
I personally prefer chambre d'hote (B&B) to hotel.
But we couldn't find any chambre d'hotes in Avignon.
I guess it was very busy term because of the festival.
So we booked a room with a hotel in the middle of Old City.
The reason why I prefer chambre d'hote is at-home atmosphere and enjoy conversations with owners,
 but we actually enjoyed conversation with the owner there!

ホテルは旧市街のど真ん中、法王庁宮殿からも近いです。
私たちは一番安い部屋(というかこの部屋しか空いてなかった）だったのですが、
入り口の隣で、一階の喧騒が近いからこの値段だったのでしょうが、
壁も厚いし、まったく気になりませんでした。
部屋もきれいで過ごしやすかったです!

Our room was the cheapest in the hotel, probably because it was just next to the entrance and on the ground floor.
But it was very comfortable enough.

鍵のキーホルダーがアンティークなのが素敵!
ホテルの扉もアンティークでした。(鍵だけはもちろんオートロックになっていますが。）
こちらのオーナーが、ほんとにいろいろアヴィニョンのことについて教えてくれて。
インフォに行かなくてもよかったほどです。
基本的な観光ポイントから、オーナーが個人的におすすめのレストランやウォーキングコースまで、いろいろ教えてくれて助かりました！
ちなみに、駐車場も最初は駅前の駐車場に止めていたのですが、(めちゃ高い）
法王庁の地下の駐車場(駅前と比べて安い）と提携していて10%オフになるので、それも助かりました!

Love the key holder of the room key, it was antique!
The entrance door was also antique.  (of course the lock was automatic.)
The hotel owner was very kind, he told us absolutely everything about Avignon.
Not only the basic info, he told us where is good restaurants and walking routes too.
He also told us about the parking area in Avignon.
We initially parked our car in the parking by the station (very expensive),
but this hotel has 10% off offer with the parking by Palais des Papes.
It was very helpful.

アヴィニョンにはかわいいお店も。
時間がなくてホテルの近くしか見て回れませんでしたが、さすが南仏一のシティだけあって楽しそう。

There are some cute shops in Avignon.
We didn't have much time in Avignon, so I just found some near our hotel though.

特に、ホテルのすぐ近くにあったこのお店に一目ぼれ。
衝動買いしちゃいました。

Specially, I love this shop near our hotel.

カラフルでポップな色合いのデザインの雑貨がいっぱい。
私はずーっと探していたピカソシャツ
(と私は呼んでますが…（フランスではブルターニュシャツと呼ばれますが…。）
日本ではバスクシャツ？　肩部分が白くて、胸から下部分にボーダー。 ）
の、理想的なサイズ、生地に出会ったので、荷物になるにもかかわらず、買っちゃいました!

They have a lot of good design items with pop and colourful.
I found the Breton shirt what I EXACTLY wanted, so I did.

さて、お食事どころです。
着いてさっそく法王庁見学してたら、すっかりレストランのお昼休みのことを忘れていて、
行きたいお店がどこもランチ終了という悲劇。
そんな中、その行きたかったお店の人のお勧めで紹介してもらったのがこちらのお店。
シエスタなしで営業中なのはうれしい。

Now, where to eat!
After we arrived in Avignon, we went to Palais des Papes.
And when we came out, the lunchtime was already finished.
All of the restaurants we wanted to go was closed until dinner time.
But, one of the restaurants' staff recommended us a restaurant opens all day.

イタリアンベースのこちらのお店、すごく陽気なスタッフの方がお勧めしてくれたメニューがこちら!
ビーフタルタル。
タルタルはビーフに限らず、サーモンなど、プロヴァンスではよく見かけるメニュー。
確かに夏の暑い日にはフレッシュでおいしいかも。
こちらがスタッフの一押しだったので頂きましたが、本当においしかった!
チーズとバジルやハーブが入っていて、お肉の生臭みもなく。
残念ながら、私の胃は生肉があまり得意ではなかったのが残念…。
逆に、私より胃が繊細で私よりも生肉に抵抗意識があった相方は大絶賛で、私の分も完食。
シェアで本当によかった、私は右のメニューのほうが好み。というかめちゃくちゃおいしかった!
名前は忘れましたが、蛍烏賊のような小さいイカに肉をつめて、トマト味で煮込んでご飯と一緒に…という日本人が好きそうな味です。
トマト味といっても、トマトの酸味そのものではなく、イカとお肉のおいし～い出汁がよく煮込まれていて本当においしい!

As usual, we asked a staff what they recommend and he told us it's beef tartar steak.
Tartar was very popular menu in Provence, we saw everywhere.
I guess it's suitable menu in hot Provence!
It was very delicious!!  It was with cheese and herbs, so tasted very nice.
Unfortunately, my stomach seemed not to like the raw meat though.....
On the other hand, my partner, who have more sensitive stomach than mine and didn't really like raw meat, did love it and finished it for me.
I was very glad we shared plates, I actually preferred the other dish.
It was stuffed squid with tomato sauce with rice.
Tomato sauce was not just tomato taste, it came with the juice of squid and meat.....  Lovely taste!!
 

こんなおいしいところならデザートも食べなきゃいけんでしょ、ということで、
またもスタッフの人におすすめを聞いたらば、「ヌテラ・ティラミス」と即答。
横にいた常連客のお姉さんも、「これ、最高よ!」とのお言葉だし、
何よりヌテラ・モンスターの相方がこのデザートを拒否できるわけはナシ。
もちろん、おいしゅうございました～。
ヌテラとティラミスって、甘ったるそうなイメージですが、ティラミス自体がかなり甘さ控えめだったので、とてもいいバランス。
もちろん普通のティラミスもありますよ!

We couldn't miss their dessert there.
Their popular dessert was "Nutella Tiramisu"....
The lady who seemed their regular customer told us "it's the best!!" too...
And also, my partner who is Nutella monster couldn't resist, of course.
It was very delicious too!
Nutella tiramisu sounded very sweet, but their tiramisu was not too sweet, so it was good balance.
They have normal tiramisu too, of course!
