Spring has come ! (in Japan, not UK!)
Spring is the one of the best season of Kyoto.
Today, I will shoe you one of the most famous sightseeing spot in Kyoto, Nijo Castle.
インスタグラムでも日本の桜の写真が見られるようになって来ました。
もうすぐ本格的に桜の季節ですね!
京都も一段と美しくなる季節です。
今回は二条城をご紹介。
It doesn't look like a castle, but it was.
In Edo era (Samurai age), Nijo Castle was the Second house of Shogun (the top of Samurai, based in Tokyo. He sometimes came to Kyoto)
When Edo era finished, the ceremony was taken here.
Very historical place.
二条城は天守がないので城っぽくありませんが、一応お城。
江戸時代、徳川家の京都の宿として使われました。
大政奉還などが行われた、歴史的な場所です。
In the castle, you can't take photos, but you can in the garden.
建物内は写真撮影禁止ですが、美しい日本庭園は撮影OK。
ということで、桜の季節には遅かったんですが、素晴らしい日本庭園の風景をどうぞ。
When we visited, we were too late for Somei Yoshino (Japanese typical cherry blossoms) ,
but there were still different kinds of cherry blossoms bloomed!
ソメイヨシノには遅かったのですが、園内は枝垂桜や八重桜がまだきれいに咲いていました。
I couldn't get closer to this tree, but isn't it magnificent!?

Lots of people were taking photos of this tree from far away!
In Nijo Castle garden, there are lots of kinds of flower and trees, so you can enjoy flowers and blossoms any time, such as camellias in winter, crape myrtle in summer, coloured leaves in autumn and so on.
木には近寄れなかったのですが、一本、ものすごく見事な枝垂桜がありました。
これ、一本の木です!
遠くからでも観光客の人を魅了して、たくさんの人が遠くからこの木を撮影していましたよ!
二条城は桜以外にも、四季折々でいろんな花を堪能できるようになっています。
冬は椿、夏は百日紅、秋は紅葉など、いろんな花が楽しめます。
Well.... flowers are good.... but.... sweets are much better than that!
I had a nice Japanese sweets at the market in Nijo Castle.
(It was temporary market, I am not sure they were always there in cherry blossoms season.)
And I will show you very lovely Japanese antique cafe near the castle next time!
でも…花より団子ってことで。
このときは二条場内に小さなマーケットみたいなで店が出ていました。
このあと、二条城近くにあるステキな大正ロマンカフェへ。
