イギリスは日本のゴールデンウィークほどではありませんが、先週末は3連休で、
奇跡的に晴れました!! (寒かったけど!）
この機会を逃すものかと、お出かけしてきたのは…
It's going to be really lovely weekend this week!
Last week was not bad too, did you have a nice bank holiday weekend?
We, of course went out to visit.....
ロンドンから北西に電車で一時間半ほどのところにある、コルチェスターという町。
私は初めて聞いたのですが、記録上ではイギリスで一番古い町なのだそう。
Colchester!
I had never heard about the town, but apparently it is the oldest town in Britain.
この辺りはでは大きな町なので、ハイストリートにはたくさんのメジャーな店が並んでいますが、
オールドタウンもしっかり残っています。
そのかわいらしいオールドタウンの家々にはかわいいティールームもたくさん!
It's a quite big town, but there is a cute old town area.
and there are lots of cute tearooms too!
ステキなヴィンテージティールームでお約束のスコーンとティーを堪能しました。：）
今回はあらかじめネットで色々リサーチしたのですが、ほとんどのティールームはぐぐっても出てこずだったので、
やっぱり歩いて見つけたほうがいいなあ、と思いました!

I researched about tearooms in Colchester, but most of the tearooms I found there were not on Google.
I thought that it was better to find by myself!
その上、ラッキーなことに、アンディ・ウォーホルのエキシビションに滑り込み。
なんとタダ!
閉館15分前の滑り込みだったので、ざっと流してしか見られなかったけれど、よかった～。
ロンドンではあきらめていたので。
おそらくロンドンでやっていたものよりは充実度は劣るだろうけど、ただですから十分です。
ロンドンはいい展示いっぱいやっているけれど、ちょっとお高いのが難点。
美術館がただなのはすばらしいけど、常設展示を1～2ポンドでいいから有料にして、
特別展示をもうちょっと値下げして欲しいな～。
Luckily, we could go to the Andy Warhol exhibition.
It was FREE!
We entered there 15 minutes before they closed, so we couldn't really take time to see.
But it was still good because I gave up going there in London as it was expensive for me.
It would probably less art than the one in London, but it was free anyway, it was good enough for me.
Admission free system is amazing in London, however, I think that it would be better to charge just 1 pound for permanent exhibition and less money in special exhibition.

そこから近いクラウチエンドでマーケットのあとお茶してるのだけど、いつも同じ場所でちょっとマンネリ気味だったのですが、
今回、と～ってもステキなティールームを発見!
久々に心躍るカフェを見つけてテンション上がりまくり。
内装がかわいいのはもちろんのこと、フードもおいしくて、満点!

I usually have a tea in Crouch End after market, but I always went to the same place.
But I found a really lovely tearoom there!!
Lovely interior and their food was delicious too!
そういえば、私ヴィンテージのビジネスしてるのに、ブログでは最近ヴィンテージのことに触れていない…。
ビジネス的にもまずいので、久々に(自分用のですが）戦利品をお披露目。
最近、ヴィンテージボタンにはまりそうでやばいです。
手芸とか全然しない人なんですけど。(笑）
昔はダンスの衣装とか手作りしていましたが、完ぺき主義のため、完璧に出来ないとすぐに捨ててしまう傾向があるのです。笑
なので、自分の手作りが手元に残ることは一切ないのですが、かわいいヴィンテージボタンを見ると集めたくなってしまう病が…。
ボタン付け替えるくらいなら出来るかな、と気軽に買い始めたのが間違い。
今までまだ付け替えたためしがないので笑、必死に物欲を押さえていますが、また買っちゃった。
黄色のものはお気に入りのコートのボタンが取れたのでそのために買ったので、絶対に付け替える予定。
右は最近の戦利品で自分の中のベスト。
大好きなディズニーのアリスのカードゲーム。
エリスプレイ用に買ったけれど、ヴィンテージには珍しく、ちゃんとコンプリートされているのでゲームとしてももちろん機能。
アリスの映画が公開された50年代のものです。
やっぱりディズニーはこの辺の年代が一番好きだ。
I haven't written about vintage in my blog since I started the business.... I should, shouldn't I....
Recently, I am almost into vintage buttons. I am totally not a handmade person, though. lol
But I couldn't resist buying cute buttons if I found them....
I thought it would be easy just to change buttons, but I hadn't done it at all yet. lol
The Alice in Wonderland card game is the best of my vintage finds these days.
I bought it for display, but it is completed, so I can play it too.
I love Disney's vintage, specially the 50's.
ついこの間まで真冬のコートを着るほど寒かったのに、
この2，3日で春を飛び越えて夏に(イギリスの夏ね。20度超えるくらいが限度。笑）なりそうな勢いのロンドン。
しっかりお日様の光をエンジョイしたいと思います！
