先日ソールズベリーへ行ってきました！
We went to Salisbury!
ロンドンから西、バースとロンドンの間にあるこの街は、ストーンヘンジの最寄りの街で有名です。
私も、イギリスに来た頃、ストーンヘンジへ行くバスツアーでこの町によったことがあります。
でもそれはほぼ１０年前、それにそのときは２時間だけの滞在だったので、
今回は町をじっくり堪能。
Salisbury is the closest town from Stonehenge.
I had been there before, by a bus tour to Stonehenge.
It was almost 10 years ago and it was only 2 hours stay.
So I wanted to walk around the town properly.
古い建物が残る街並み。
なぜかこの日はハーレーみたいなごついバイクの団体が来ており、
町中ハードなバイカーたちでごった返してましたが…
Beautiful old town!
There was a group of bikers in the town that day.
So many bikers (like Harley Davidson type) were wandering the town.
こちらは町一番の古いパブ。
We had a lunch in the oldest pub in the town!
ソールズベリーのランドマーク、ソールズベリー大聖堂。
この尖塔は、イギリスで一番長いんだそう。
The town landmark, Salisbury Cathedral.
The tower is the longest in the Britain.
現在大聖堂では、たくさんのバニーちゃんたちがお出迎え。
At the moment, you can see lots of bunnies in the cathedral.
こちらはソフィー・ライダーさんの作品。
７月３日までなので、気になる人はぜひ行ってみて。
This is the exhibition by Sophie Ryder.
It ends on 3rd of July.
You must go if you are interested!
駅からタウンセンターに行くまでにはこんなステキなフィールドが。
Threre are also beautiful field and walking path near the town.
なんともイギリスらしい牧歌的な風景。
タウンセンターからすぐ近くにこんなのどかな風景があるところがイギリスのいいところ。
Such a peaceful view....
