It's an indoor market where you can find vintage, homeware, clothes and so on.
There is a cafe as well.

だけど、実はとっても大きくてしかもヴィンテージオンリーなんです!
奥がとっても長くて、２階もあります。
This looked like a usual charity shop.
But it's a long and big house full of vintages!!

Next is eating places!
コルチェスターで人気のインディペンデントなカフェを探すと、上位に入っていたのがこのバーガーショップ。
お店はこじんまりとしていて、カウンターにテーブルが数席、というつくり。
When we looked out popular independent cafes in Colchester, this burger shop was always in the top 3.
The store is very cosy, only a few tables there.
でもここのバーガーが本当にジューシーでおいしかった!!
イギリスに住んで約２０年の相方も、今まで食べたイギリスのバーガーでトップかも、との太鼓判!
このボリュームでお値段がお手ごろなのもうれしい。
アメリカンなプラスチックのバスケットもかわいいです。
However....their burger was really really good!!!
My mister, who has been living in UK for more than 20 years, said that it was the best burger in his UK life!
The set of the burger was quite big, but the price was reasonable.
I love this American style plastic basket!

今回、色々コルチェスターのカフェを事前に調べたのですが、
ネットで見るよりも街中に気になるところがいくつもあったコルチェスターのティールームたち。
その中でも飛びぬけてヴィンテージなこちらに、今回行ってきました。
There are a lot of tearooms in Colchester.
I researched tearooms in Colchester on the Internet before I visited, but actually I found them in town more than the Internet.
I chose this tearoom as I am a vintage lover.
４０年代の、アガサ・クリスティーの小説の時代のレトロなインテリア。
まるでミス・マープルのおうちに招かれた感じ。
It's like I was in the 40's.
Like Agatha Christie's novel world.
Like I was invited to Miss Marple's.
こだわりのティールームだけあって、お茶の種類もたくさん。
They are very particular about tea, so they have plenty kinds of tea!
ケーキの種類もたくさん!
グルテンフリーのもあるようです。
こちらではお茶の葉はもちろん、ティータイムのグッズなども売っています。
Of course, they have plenty cakes too....
They also have gluten free cakes too.
They sell not only their tea leaves, but also teatime accessories.
２階席もあります。
They have huge space in the 1st floor....
レトロなインテリアです。
Lovely retro interior!
この日はあまりおなかはすいていなかったものの、ティールームに入ったからには!
と、スコーンを一つオーダーしてシェア。
スコーンはふわふわだけれど、あったかくなかったのが残念!
We were not very hungry, but can't stop ordering scones in English old town!!
It was very soft and good, but shame it was not warm..
私たちは行かなかったのですが、町の中でもとっても古い建物にあるティールームも人気のようでした。
There was another tearoom which is popular in the town.
We couldn't have tea there, but visited the building.
この日は結婚式のレセプションが行われていた模様。
There was an wedding upstairs.....
建物は１５世紀のもの!!
This amazing building is from the 15th century!!
天気がよかったのでガーデンでお茶する人たちも。
今度またこの町を訪れる機会があったら、ぜひここに来たいです!
It was really nice weather that day, some people had tea outside.
We will have tea there if we visit the town another time!
