先週末は、久しぶりにルイスへ行ってきました!
We went to Lewes last weekend. It has been a while we went there!
ルイスに行くときは心ゆくまでヴィンテージハントを楽しみたいので、
ヴィンテージフェアがあるとき、と決めています。
数年前はキュン死にするほどかわいかったフェアですが、年々いまいちに…
(ここに限らずロンドンもですが…）
とはいえ、やっぱりフェアはチェックしてしまうのでした。
今回はあまり期待していなかったジュエリーがそこそこ買えたので満足。
When I go to Lewes, I want to enjoy vintage hunting in every corner.
So I always go there when there is a vintage fair.
Until a few years ago, it was so cute that I could have died.
However, unfortunately it is not great recently.....
But anyway, I had to check everything.
I didn't really expect but I could buy some jewellery this time, so I was happy!
外は寒いし濡れてるし…いまいちなお天気ですが、ルイスなら問題なし。
なぜなら、ほとんどお店めぐりで終わるから! 笑
春なら丘の上までお散歩もいいのですがね…
結局、お店めぐりで忙しいのです!
The weather was also not great.....
But, it is no problem in Lewes, because I am busy to do shopping! lol
When it is sunny and warm, it is great to walk to the top of the hill.
But anyway, I always run out time because of my shopping.
まずは腹ごしらえ!
ここ最近、ルイスのお気に入りカフェがなくなってきていてかなりショックなのですが、
結局またこのLe Magasin Cafeへ。
前回の鹿肉がおいしすぎておいしすぎて、忘れられなくて…！
今回もあの鹿肉を期待して行ったのですが、スペシャルメニューだったのでやはりなく。
今回も今日のスペシャルを頂きました。
私は肉厚なシーバス、相方さんは雉。
どちらもやっぱりおいしかったけど～やっぱ鹿肉が最高だった!!笑
Lunch time!
It is a shame that my favourite cafes are closed down these days.
We went to our favourite Le Magasin.
Last time we had venison there, and it was so, so, so delicious and we couldn't forget about it....
We hoped to had it again but there was not on the day's menu... (It was a special menu that day)
I had a sea bass and my mister had a pheasant.
Both of them were very good, but I still think the venison was the best!!
腹ごしらえしたあとは、お店めぐりです。
前回もクリスマス前に来て、かわいいカードがたくさん買えたので、
今回もクリスマスカードはルイスで、と決めていました。
After we were stuffed, we went for shopping.
We came here before Christmas last year and I could get lovely Christmas cards.
So I have decided to do Christmas shopping in Lewes this year.
お気に入りのお店を巡って、ヴィンテージハントもして…。
結局お散歩の時間なんかやはりなかった。笑
I went to all of my favourite shops and did my vintage buying....
Yes, I had no time for walk as usual.
ティータイムももちろん忘れません!
が!! 私たちの大のお気に入りのニードルメーカーズカフェが変わっていた…。ショック。
Of course, we had a teatime too.
But! My favourite Needlemaker's cafe was changed....!! Shocked.
ケーキは相変わらずおいしいし、サイズもでかかったけれど…。
値段が変わっていたよ…。
ショックだな～。
Their cake was good and big like before, but the price has changed...... Mmm....
と、驚きはありましたが、やっぱりかわいいものが買えて大満足なルイスのおでかけだったのでした!
今回の私のお気に入りはこちら!
ツバメモチーフに目がない私が速攻で手にしたのがこの左のトリオ。
最初は自分のコレクション用だけ買ってたのですが、やっぱりかわいすぎるので、
ティーカップは運びにくいから買い付けはやめてたのですが、これは特別!!
ということで2客、Travelling Madeleineに入荷です! 12月のマーケットにもって行きます。
右は、ルイスに行ったら必ずチェックするお店、Wickleでまたもカワイイのゲット。
ポンポンに弱い私がこれまた速攻で購入を決定したナプキンリングと、
かわいいデザインのクリスマスアドベントカレンダー。
アドベントカレンダーとは、12月にはいったらクリスマスまで毎日プチプレゼントを入れておける小箱のカレンダー。
子供用に、小さいお菓子やおもちゃを中に入れて、毎日開けていく、というお楽しみなのです。
こちらはその小箱がツリーだったりおうちだったり、小さな村になっている「アドベント・ヴィレッジ」なのです。
完成はまた12月にお披露目しますね!
Well something has changed and bit surprised, but still I had a good time and good shopping in Lewes.
Here are my favourites I got in Lewes.
The left is the vintage teacup trio which I snatched in a second.
Lovely swallows!! and I can't resist swallows items!
I gave up buying teacups for my business, but they were so specials, so I bought 2 sets too apart from mine.
They will be in Old Spitalfields next month.
The right is from Wickles which is my favourite shop in Lewes.
I can't resist pom pom items, so I also snatched the napkin rings set!
And cute Christmas advent village!
I can't wait to decorate them in December!
