サン・マロの続きです。
海賊がいた街、サン・マロ。
私がこの街を知ったのは、海賊がらみでもなんでもなく、漫画の「のだめカンタービレ」から。
ドラマや映画など大人気だったので、もしかしたら知ってる人も多いかもしれません。
サン・マロはのだめがモーツァルトの格好で教会コンサートをした街です。

The town which pirates used to be.
I knew about this town because Japanese popular comic.
「のだめ」はドラマも映画も見たんですが、街の様子は記憶になくて、
漫画の印象からなぜかディナンのような田舎町だと思っていたんですね。
ところが結構大きな町でびっくり!! じゅうぶん都会です。
From the comic, I thought Saint-Malo is a small village but it was a big town!!
I was surprised.
大きなビル郡が立ち並びます。
でもパリのように歴史のある建物ばかり。
ところどころにあるスクエアでは花が街を彩って。
A lot of big and historical buildings like Paris.
There were some squares here and there with flowers.
この広場では、ふる～い本屋を発見。
ビル自体もとっても古そう。
I found a very old book shop in this square.
The building itself looked quite old.
本屋の窓には古い写真。ひょっとして戦時中のものかしら…。
左の建物がこの本屋のビルっぽいです。
There was a old photo on the window. I wondered it was from World War Ⅱ... ?
The left building seemed this book shop building.
マーケット広場から路地裏探検へ。
「バターの家」発見!
相方のお父さんがバター好きなので、「連れてきてあげたい!!」といっていました。
私たちも、 すぐに持って帰れたらフランスのおいしいバターを買って帰ったのに!
We went into alley from the market place.
We found "the house of butter"!
My partner's father liked butter so he said he wanted to take his father here.
If we lived near there, we would buy good French butter!
路地裏探検はやっぱりいいなあ。
メインストリートを歩くよりも好き。
角に取り付けられた女神像は船首だったのかしら。
海賊の町らしいパブの看板。
そんな光景が見える路地裏が好き。
I love exploring allies. More interesting than walking main streets.
I thought the goddess statue on the corner must have been a bow.
The sign of the pub in the town which pirates used to be.
I like exploring allies to see those things which you can see only here.
ステキなカフェも発見。お茶はしなかったけど…。
この界隈にはほかにもおしゃれなレストランがあったり。
地元の人のみぞ知るおしゃれスポットという感じ。
I found a nice cafe. I didn't have a tea there tough......
Near the cafe, there were some nice cute restaurants as well.
It seemed the hot spot for local people.
教会へ。 The church.
のだめはここでコンサートしたのかしら? なんて。
メインストリートに戻ってきました。
お土産屋さんがたくさん!
ブルターニュの伝統的な陶器もかわいい柄が多い。
地方によっていろいろな柄があるので面白い。
We came back to the main street. There were lots of souvenir shop.
The traditional bretagne design is cute!
There were various design in each area in France. Interesting.
こちらのアイスクリーム屋さんはみんながお勧めしてくれたんだけど、
この日は寒かったのでお預け。
それでもユーロピアンの人たちはみんなアイスをほおばっていましたけどね!
My partner's niece recommended this icecream shop. But it was really cold that day, we didn't have it.
But many tourists were eating ice cream!!!
海辺のリゾート、海賊のいた街、サン・マロでした。
このあとは一路、モン・サンミッシェルへ。
ちょうど街の門を出たすぐ後から雨に…。
そんな雨の中、寄り道もしちゃいます…。
After Saint-Malo, we went to Mont Saint-Michel.
As soon as we left Saint-Malo's gate, it started raining.
But we stopped at somewhere in the rain.....
