East Sicily Adventure ~シチリア・太陽と海と古代の風を感じる旅 September 2013 Part.2
シラクーサの旧市街で、ディナーのためのレストランを探すべくさまよっていた私たち。
そこでこんなにかわいいレストランを見つけました。
We were walking around the old town in Syracuse to look for a nice restaurant.
Then, we found a cute one.
乙女なレース、ヴィンテージの家具やグラスがかわいい!
私はここでもよかったのですが、いちおうホテルの人にお勧めのレストランを聞いていたので、
そこに行きつつ、他も物色。
そうこうしているうちに相方の機嫌が悪くなり．．．（空腹で）
そのレストランに着いたらば、「おいしそうな匂いがしない」とのこと。
仕方なく、「おいしそうな匂い」がしたこのレストランに結局戻ってきたのでした。
（そのときには相方が座りたかった外の席は満席で、またもふてくされる．．．）

I loved the place.
But we had already asked the staff of our B&B about nice restaurants in Syracuse,
so we headed to the restaurant also looked other restaurants.
In the end, my partner didn't like the restaurant, (He said there was no yummy smell.)
so we came back to this pretty restaurant, La Foglia.
外もかわいかったけれど、内装もかわいい!
アンティークっぽいレースのドイリーがどのテーブルにもしいてあって、
その上にはヴィンテージグラスが。
The tables outside were cute, but also the interior was also lovely.
Each table has vintage-ish lace doily and glasses.
飾り付けにヴィンテージのティーポットがあったり、とってもかわいい。
正直言って、イタリアにはこういう乙女なヴィンテージは期待していなかったので、（特にシチリアでは．．．）
意外でした。
The vintage taste was everywhere in this restaurant.
I didn't expect that I found lovely girly vintage items in Italy, specially in Sicily.
建物自体もとっても古そうです。
The building looked very old too.
クリエイティブでかわいいメニュー!
期待が高まる。
Their menu was also arty and lovely!
That made me expect something nice.
フレッシュなパンも、ヴィンテージのかご＆刺繍入りリネンで。
They served fresh bread in the vintage basket with cute linen.
さて、イタリアに来たからには、やっぱりパスタ!
私はシチリア名物のいわしのパスタ。
相方はソードフィッシュ(メカジキ）のパスタを頂きました。
私のいわしのパスタは、オイルベースだけど、なんだかさわやかな風味がして病み付き。
私はレモンだと思って、「さすがシチリアだわ～」なんて思っていたんですが、
相方によると、ミントだったらしい…。
実は、私はミントはまったくだめなのです。
（お砂糖たっぷりのモロッカンミントティー以外は。それもあんまり好んでは飲まない。）
そんなミントに敏感な私も大丈夫な、ほんとにちょっぴりの風味付けだけど、
とてもさわやかな後味でおいしかったです。
相方さんのはトマト味。
太陽をたっぷり浴びた地中海のトマトと新鮮な魚介はやっぱりおいしい。
パスタは手作りでこしがあっておいしい!
We were in Italy, so we had to have pasta!
I had sardine pasta, the speciality of Sicily.
Oil based, with slightly mint taste, it was so fresh.
My partner had swordfish pasta, which was tomato sauce based.
The combination of Mediterranean tomatoes which were sunned a lot and fresh seafood was just perfect.
Their pasta was homemade, it was so delicious!
帰る頃にはまた雨が土砂降り。
でも、シチリア初日からとってもいいレストランにめぐり合えて、幸せなのでした。
When we left the restaurant, it was raining a lot.
But I was happy since we found the nice restaurant on the first day of our Sicily trip.
