ブライトンはたくさんのインディペンデント・ショップがあって、街歩きがとっても楽しい！
今回も気になったお店をご紹介。
I love Brighton, there are so many independent shops, it's really fun to walk around.
I will show you the shops I was interested.
まずはこちらのお店。
インスタグラムでフォローしてる人が行っていて気になっていたところ。
ナチュラル＆シンプルな生活用品のお店、ワークショップ。
The first shop is here, Workshop, the shop of homeware and lifestyle products.
I got interested as my favourite instagramer went there.
遊び心のあるデザインも大好きだけど、
やっぱり飽きのこないシンプルなデザインに落ち着いてしまうことが多い私。(特に実用性のあるものは）
このお店はまさにそんなラインナップ。
シンプルで飽きがこない、だけどスタイリッシュ。
機能的にも優れているところもポイント!
欲しい物はたくさんあったけれど、日本の製品も多くて、近々日本に行く身としてはついつい買うのを躊躇。笑
日本人としては鼻高々ですけどね!
I love funny & fancy designs, but in the end, I always take simple designs. (specially for practical tools.)
This shop is really have practical tools and products with simple designs.
Simple and stylish, and functional.
I wanted several things, but I found out some of them are made in Japan.
I was so proud as Japanese, but also hesitated to buy them since I am going to Japan soon... lol

この日はとっても天気のいい夏日だったので、アイスクリームははずせない!
いつも行くアイスクリーム屋さんではなくて、新しいところを開拓。
こちらのボーホー・ジェラートさんは鉄板メニューだけでなく、他では見ないようなフレイバーもあって、目移り!
私たちが選んだのは、クッキー＆カスタードクリームと、マンゴー＆ホワイトチョコ。
もちろんどちらもおいしかった～！
他にも試したいフレイバーがあったので、また戻ってこなければ!
(来年の夏になるかもだけど…）
It was really hot day, we had to have ice cream!
We wanted to try a new shop.
This Boho Gelato had very unique flavours and also typical menu.
It was hard to choice. We had Cookie & Custard Cream, and Mango & White Chocolate.
Of course they were delicious!!
There are many flavours we wanted to try, so we must go back there.
(It might be next summer though....)

いつも同じところばかりうろうろしている私たちですが、今回このワークショップに行くために通った道がここ。
ザ・レーンズと呼ばれる横丁エリア。
メインストリートのノースストリートから横道にちょっとそれると、縦横無尽に広がる路地におもしろそうなお店たち。
18世紀に出来た横丁だそうで、今ではパブやカフェ、おもしろそうなお店がたくさんで狭い路地は人でいっぱい。
昔からありそうな貴金属専門の通りなんかもあります。
ちょっと、ハリー・ポッターのダイアゴン横丁みたいな感じ!
We always go to the same places, but we found a fabulous area called The Lanes.
When you turn off to an alley from North Street, there are lanes with interesting shops.
These lanes from the 18th century are just like a maze, full of pubs, cafes, and shops.
There is always full of people there.
It was like the Diagon Alley from Harry Potter.

そのザ・レーンズにあって、私たちが行きたかったカフェがこちら。
残念ながら今回は時間切れで行けなかったんですが、次回は絶対行く!
ヴィンテージテイストのキュートなティールームに、ウェイトレスさんが看板と同じメイドの格好していてとってもかわいい!
This is a tearoom in The Lanes and I really wanted to go.
Unfortunately we couldn't make it this time, but we will go back next time!
It was a cute vintage style tearoom and waitresses are wearing the same costumes as the sign!
Loved it!
他にもいろいろ気になるカフェがありました！

マーケットのあったアッパー・ガードナー・ストリートでひときわにぎわっていたカフェ・レストラン。
This cafe restaurant was so popular in Upper Gardner Street.
ボーホー・ジェラートと同じ並びにあったこちらのカフェ「ザ・モック・タートル」。
不思議の国のアリスが好きな人はピンと来るはず。
中もアリスチックなのかどうかは行ってみないとわからない!
This cafe, The Mock Turtle was next to Boho Gelato.
You would notice where the shop's name came from if you liked Alice in Wonderland.
Is it Alice-in-Wonderland-ish cafe? You never know until you go there!
ブライトンピアから東側のケンプトンにちょっと静かでヴィンテージショップがちょこちょこあるエリアがあります。
そこにあった、20～30年代をモチーフにしたヴィンテージ・カフェ。
ヴィンテージ好きとしてはこちらもぜひ行ってみたい。
Kempton, where is the East side of Brighton Pier, is a quiet area with some vintage shops.
There is a cafe themed the 20-30's.
I am interested as I am a vintage lover.
ロイヤル・パビリオンから程近い、とっても古そう＆大きなパブ。
建物がとっても好みでした。
こういうところでべたにパブランチもいいかも。
これらのお店、次回はぜひ行ってみて、ブログでお伝えしたいです!
This pub was near Royal Pavilion, looked very old and big!
I loved that building.

今回も気になったお店をご紹介。
