Lovely Summer Vacance in Provence ~ 南仏プロヴァンスでの夏休み vol.2
だいぶお待たせしましたが、南仏プロヴァンスの旅行記を始めます!
旅の始まりはマルセイユ空港から。
そこで車を借りて、マルセイユからぐるっとプロヴァンスを巡る旅です。
ちなみにレンタカーは航空券とセット。
これは初めてやりましたが、これだと別々に申し込むよりもはるかに安いと判明。
そして、まず向かった先はエクス・アン・プロヴァンス。
ちなみにこの旅で、私たちはマルセイユは一切無視。
あんまり興味がなかったので、今回の旅では通り過ぎただけでした。
エクス・アン・プロヴァンスは、旅の後半でもう一度訪れたのでいったん置いておいて、
その次に向かったのは、アルルです!

Started from Marseille Airport.
We hired a car at the airport and drove around Provence.
Our rental car was come with our flight tickets.
We had never booked a car with flight tickets, but it was much cheaper than booking separately.
First, we headed to Aix-en-Provence.
By the way, we didn't go to the town of Marseille.
We were not interested and we just passed by.
I will write about Aix-en-Provence later because we visited there again in the latter half of our trip.
Next, we stayed in Arles.
ローマの遺跡が町のど真ん中にあり、古い建物が青い空に映えるアルル。
ずっと来てみたかった町のひとつ。
特に調べたわけではないですが、バレエ「アルルの女」の世界観がとても好きで
（結構抽象的なバレエですが…。ゴッホの美術とか音楽とか、衣装とかすべてが好き。）
一度あの世界に行ってみたい、と思って、このたび願いがかないました。
Arles is very ancient, it has Roman heritages in the middle of the old town.
I always wanted to go there.
I don't know anything about Arles, but my favourite ballet was "L'Arlesienne".
The ballet was a bit abstract, but Gogh's art, Bizet's music, costumes....
I love everything in the ballet and wanted to go to the world of it.
My dream came true.
アルルといえば、ゴッホ。
ゴッホに特に興味があったわけではないのですが、この旅を機にウィキペディアをみて、
すごく苦労した人なんだな、と知りました。
(というか、ゴッホを生涯支えた家族が大変だったな… ）
アルルでたくさん絵を描いたにもかかわらず、象徴するひまわりなどの絵がまったくここに残っていないのが本当に残念。
Thinking of Arles, Vincent van Gogh is famous as he painted a lot of great masterpiece there.
I was not especially interested in Gogh, but I read Wikipedia and leaned that he had a really hard life. (Specially his family.....)
Although he painted a lot in Alrles, there is no his paintings there, such as Sunflowers.
It's really disappointing.
街にあるゴッホゆかりの地を訪ね歩きながら、ゴッホがここを通ったのかな、と考えたり…。
Wondered that Gogh might have walked down these streets, as I walked and visited places of Gogh in the old town of Arles....
まぶしい南仏の太陽と美しい街に魅了されて、オランダ人のゴッホがここでたくさん絵を残したのもうなずけます。
I totally understood that Gogh, who is Dutch, fell in love with this lovely old town and the bright sun in Provence.
さて、アルルのお宿。
シャンブルドットで、旧市街のはずれ、無料の駐車場にも近くて便利。
部屋は、私たちは少しせまめのベッドルームですが、プライベートのバスルーム付き。
（他の部屋は、部屋はゴージャスですがバスルームがシェア。）
Our accommodation in Arles.
It was a chambre d'hote (French B&B, but our chambre d'hote charged for breakfast),
in the end of the old town, close to free parking.
Our bedroom was a bit small, but with private bathroom.
(Other rooms are gorgeous but shared bathroom)
まあまあよかったのですが、残念なのは部屋で飲食が一切禁止ということ。
屋上のテラスで食べられるし、冷蔵庫もあるのですが、
夏場は蚊がいて、私は部屋で食べるほうが…。
朝食もないので(有料）、部屋で簡単に済ませることが出来たら便利だったんだけど。
ということで紹介は控えます。
気になる方にはお教えします。
It was good, but unfortunately, we were not allowed to eat and drink in bedroom.
There is a rooftop terrace and also fridge, but also mosquitoes...
I preferred to eat in the bedroom as I really hate mosquitoes!
There is no breakfast ( there is, if you pay) , so I wished I could have eaten in our bedroom.
So I am not going to tell where it was in my blog.
