青い海を求めて、マルタ旅 In search of blue sea, Malta, September 2018 Vol.1
皆様お久しぶりです！
私、マルタへ行ってまいりました！
というのも…
Hi everyone! I went to Malta last week!
Because....
わたくし、40歳になりました～！！
なんとマルタ中の人たちが私の誕生日をお祝いしてくれました～！
ありがとう！
It was my 40th birthday!!
The whole country of Malta celebrated my birthday!
Thank you so much!!
なんてね。
ちょうど誕生日当日、教会の50周年のお祭りがあったみたいなのです。
大量のコンフェッティがあったので記念写真。
この他にも翌日、翌々日に知らない人２人のハッピーバースデーソングを聞いちゃったりして、
「え、私のため…？」と思ったり。笑
幸先よいスタートでした！
Naaaah, just kidding.
It seemed to be the 50th birthday of the church behind me.
There were tons of confetti, so I took photo for my birthday celebration.
Besides, I have encountered someone's happy birthday song, twice.
I thought, hm, maybe it is for me! lol
Good start for the 40's.
４０歳の記念旅行、行きたいところがいっぱいありすぎてどこにしようか迷ったけれど、
やっぱり地中海の青い海が恋しくて。
選んだところは今人気急上昇中のマルタ。
マルタって、ヨーロッパに語学留学すると決めたときにイギリスかマルタかって選択肢が出てきたくらいで、
どんな国かまったく知らなかったのですが、
本当にここ数年で大人気旅行地に。
特に透明の海のブルーラグーン。
ここに行きたくて！
他のところも透明度はすごく高いんですが、本当にブルーラグーンは格別でした。
For my special 40th birthday holiday, I was thinking where to go.... So many places I want to go!
But I am really in love with blue of the Mediterranean Sea.
I chose Malta.
I didn't know anything about Malta, but it is really getting popular!
Specially Blue Lagoon in Comino island.
I wanted to go there too!
Most of sea around Malta is very clear, but Blue Lagoon was really special.
私たちは旧市街のあるヴァレッタを拠点に色々回りました。
ゆっくりできる日程だったはずが、これまたリサーチ不足で時間が足りなくなってしまった。
ちゃんとリサーチして効率よく回ればもっとゆっくり出来たけどなあ。
次に生かさなければ。(と毎回思っている。）
We stayed in Valletta, because I love old city.
We stayed for a week, which I thought too enough to see Malta, but it was not at all!
I haven't researched anything but blue lagoon, I should have researched more.
Then we could have been more efficient.
I have to learn from this experience. (And I am saying that every time.)
マルタの町はカラフルでかわいい。
本当にどこもフォトジェニックで。
もちろんインスタグラマーもあちこちに。
Malta is so colourful and cute.
Photogenic everywhere.
Instagramers are also everywhere.
かなり有名だった場所、マルサシュロック。
マルタ到着翌日にマーケットがあるから、という理由だけで行ってみたら、
なんだか色々有名で、近くにもステキな泳ぎ場があったのに水着を持ってきてなくて、
(というか買ってなかった！あまりに泳ぎと縁遠い生活をしていて、
泳ぎのシーズンすぎてからやっと買ってないことに気づいたおばか。
しかもシーズンすぎたからどこにも売ってないし、泣く泣くH&Mの捨ててもいいくらいのどうでもいい水着を一応買って行った…）
別の日にまた行くという二度手間をやらかしてしまう。
ちゃんと調べてればなあ…。
マルタは交通が不便なので、リサーチ必須です、皆さん。
Marsaxlokk is a small village in South of Malta, where is very famous.
But I didn't know that at all.
I just went there because there is a market every Sunday.
After we arrived, I heard that there is a very famous beautiful spot to swim.
But we didn't bring swimwear that time.....
(I actually forgot to buy swimwear... silly me....)
So we had to go back there again another day....
I should really have checked!
Then we could have saved more time and got enough time to swim more....
それでもわりと有名どころは押さえられたので満足！
とても楽しい旅でした！
However, we visited most of all famous spots and enjoyed a lot!
It was so much fun.
巨石神殿の神秘に触れたり。We visited mystery temples......
旅のお楽しみ、教会巡りは、マルタはとても楽しかった！
とてもかわいい教会が多いのですが、敬虔なカトリック国だけに、あまりオープンにしていらっしゃらない。
開いたと思ったらミサが始まって、泣く泣く写真をあきらめたところも。
I love visiting old churches. And churches in Malta are so beautiful.
However, I thought they are not really open for tourists. (apart from famous churches.)
I found a very cute local church, but as soon as we entered, the mass began.
I wanted to take photos, but I had to give up.
にゃんこたちともちょこっと触れ合えました。Met lovely Maltese cats too :)
本当に楽しいマルタ旅、今年最後の夏を満喫できました！
あんなに太陽さんさんで暑かったのに、ロンドン帰ってきたらものすごく寒い～！！
暗い、寒い、雨のザ・イギリスなお天気にお出迎えされ、ああ…現実に戻ってきたわ…と感じます。
ついこの間までキャミドレスで歩いてたのに、今は真冬ニットを完全装備で家にいるのに寒いってどーゆうこと。
それでも、このたった１週間で体も見違えてヘルシーに。
相方と私の爪が、目に見えて強固になったのがわかるんですよ。太陽の力って偉大。
(イギリスに長く住むと、日光不足で爪が弱るのです。ビタミンD不足が原因で鬱になる人もいるんです。）
やっぱり年に一度は太陽が出る国に行かないとだめだわ、と再度実感。
楽しいマルタ旅、皆さんにお伝えしたいことがたくさんあるので、
この情熱があるうちに今回はちゃんと旅行記を書くぞ！

We really enjoyed Malta, our last summer in 2018!
It was so hot and bright, but it's so cold here in London!
Dark, cold, rain, typical British weather welcomed us......
How come I feel cold with a thick winter knit at home!? It's still September!
We were really glad that we went there, our bodies became healthier.
Specially our nails changed a lot.... You can actually see it.....
I really need to go to hot country for sunbathing at least once a year.
I have got so many thing I want to write here.
I will write this travel log while I still have this passion!
(And again, I am saying that every time....)
