この週末はプチホリデーで、車をレンタルしてイングランドの田舎へ行ってきました!
今回のメインは…
We had a petit holiday last weekend!
We hired a car and went to countryside in West Sussex.
The main event of this holiday was....
このカントリー・ブロカンテ・サマーフェア。
ちょっと前にお伝えした、カントリー・ブロカンテフェアの、年に２回ある大きなフェアです。
行きたいのはやまやまだったのですが、このフェア、いっつも車がないといけないような場所でやってるのですよ…。
それに、とってもおしゃれなのですが、お値段もはるし、買付には不向きなフェア。
でもやっぱりセンスは飛びぬけてよいフェアなので、今回相方の誕生日もかねて
(でも完全に私の希望にあわせて笑）
車をレンタルして、ついでにＢ＆Ｂにお泊りしてプチホリデーにしちゃいました!
Country Brocante Summer Fair.
It's a big version of Country Brocante Fair which I wrote about before.
I always wanted to go, but this fairs are always hold in area where you must drive.
We don't have a car, but I was really interested....
So we decided to hire a car and book B&B, as a short holiday to celebrate my mister's birthday!
(but it's absolutely my hope though lol)
本当に、見るものすべてがかわいくて、とっても目の保養になるフェアでした。
雑誌カントリー・リビングやホームズ＆アンティークにのってる様なフレンチカントリーなスタイルが主で、
フランスからのアンティークも多数。
フランスに行かずしてフレンチアンティークが買えてしまうし、とにかくディスプレイがどこもおしゃれ。
がっつりは買えませんでしたが、 私も欲しかったものが買えて大満足です。
この様子はまたレポートしますね!
The fair was the loveliest ever!!

このフェアはミッドハーストという、電車の駅もない村で行われました。
会場となったカウドリーハウスには、昔焼け落ちたお屋敷のあとも。
ステキなティールームでランチも出来ました!
The fair was hold in Midhurst.
The place where the fair was hold was Cowdrey House and it has the old ruin too.
We found a lovely tearoom too.
Ｂ＆Ｂはチーチェスターに近い村に泊まったのですが、
日曜日は足を伸ばしてポーツマスまで。
思ったよりも大きい町でびっくり。とても歩ききれませんでした!
We stayed near Chichester, but Sunday, we went to Portsmouth.
Portsmouth was bigger than what I expected!
We couldn't really see everything ....
日曜だったので、行きたいお店はいけなかったけれど、かわいいカフェを発見。
I couldn't see the shops I wanted to go as they were closed very early on Sunday,
however, we found a very cute cafe.
月曜日は、マナーハウスもあり、アンティークショップも多いと聞いたペットワースへ。
アンティークショップは多いけれど家具がほとんど。
かわいい町だけれど、あいにくの雨でした…。
Monday , we went to Petworth since I heard that there is a manor house and a lot of antique shops.
There were many antique shops, but most of them were selling furniture.
The village was cute, but it was really bad weather....
そして、ナショナルトラストが管理する、ペットワース・ハウスへ。
こんなに大きいお屋敷なのに、オープンしているのは一階のみで、上の階はすべてプライベートなお屋敷!!
結構今もあるのですね、現役のお屋敷…。
歴史的な場所も好きですが、こんな広い歴史あるお屋敷をどのように現在インテリアしてるのかも気になります。
書きたいことはまたたまりつつありますが、詳細はまた後日!
And, we went to Petworth House, which is managed by National Trust.
I can't believe that there are someone still living there!
There are so many things I have to write, but I have to write the detail another day...
