Here are my favourite addresses to eat in Margate!
まずはこちら、シティセンターで大人気のお店、ザ・グリーディー・カウ。
ハンバーガーのお店です。
This is one of the most popular cafe in Margate, The Greedy Cow.
It's a burger cafe.
1階はカウンターのみ、(外にテラス席）で、２階にこじんまりとしたフロアがある小さなお店です。
席についてメニューを見るなり、お隣さんが、「ここのビーフ・バーガーは最高だよ!」
というので、じゃあ、ビーフ・バーガーで!
(マーゲイトの人はとってもフレンドリー!）
Seats are on the first floor and outside of the ground floor, it's quite cosy cafe.
As soon as we sat and started looking menu, people next to us told us "Their beef burger is amazing!"
So I took a beef burger! (By the way, people in Margate are very friendly!)
ビーフバーガーは女の子でもぺろりとけるサイズ。
ちょうどいいサイズで、ビーフもジューシーでおいしかった!
Their beef burger is not too big, it is just perfect size for me.
The burger itself was so soft and juicy too! Delicious!

こちらはタウンセンターからちょっと歩いたところにあるカフェ、フォーツ。
海辺に面していて、マーゲイトでも人気のあるカフェ。
実はこちらがランチの第一候補だったのですが、早い時間に行ったにもかかわらず、
人気過ぎて入れなかったのです!
なので、次回はぜひこちらにリベンジしたい!
This is a cafe in seaside, Fort's.
It was actually one of the most popular cafe in Margate and we wanted to have lunch there.
However, it was so popular that we couldn't get seats even though we got there earlier than midday.
We would love to try there next time.

なんだかにぎやかな雰囲気が楽しいこちらは、バス・カフェ。
ダブルデッカーを改造したカフェで、このときはバスの中がまだ完成しておらず、(たぶん完成したら中でも食べられる）
外でバーベキューをやっていました。
This is Bus Cafe, it was just opened when we went to Margate.
When we were there, the refurbishment work in the bus was not completed,
but you can eat inside of the bus as well.
Their food looked yummy!!
こちらのフォートロードヤードには、 ヴィンテージ家具やガラクタのお店があり、もちろんこれらすべて購入可能。
There is also vintage shop.
You can buy all of these furniture and junks!
ポップアートのギャラリーもあります。
Also there is pop art galleries.

夏の海辺の街で欠かせないのがアイスクリーム!
マーゲイトの有名店の一つがこちら、メルト。
You must eat ice cream if you are in a seaside town in summer!
This is one of the most popular gelato shop in Margate, Melt.
ポップな店内もかわいいです。
The interior is pop and cute!
ビーチが目の前にあるので、やっぱりおすすめは海辺で食べること!
The beach is just in front of the shop, you must eat outside!

ティールームで気になったのはこちら!
他にもおしゃれなカフェはありましたが、アリス好きとしてはこちらははずせなかった…
その名もザ・マッド・ハッター。いかれ帽子屋のティールームです。
アリスの最も印象的なシーンの一つが帽子屋が出てくるいかれたお茶会ですが、
いったいどんなお店なのかわくわく…
For tea time, I couldn't ignore this tearoom as Alice in Wonderland lover...
Because its name was The Mad Hatter!
One of the most impressive scene in Alice in Wonderland is a tea party of The Mad Hatter....
I had to see it!!
中は確かに、Madな雰囲気のインテリア!
ロイヤルファミリーのクリスマス的な!?
１階は黄色がテーマで、
It was really mad interior!
I guess the theme was Royal Family's Christmas?!
The ground floor's theme colour was yellow....
２階は赤。
ちなみに建物自体もとっても古くて、アンティークなトイレも必見。
And the first floor's was red.
The building was very old and historical, you have to see their antique toilet!
ダイアナ妃や誰だかわからないアンティーク写真にまぎれて、もちろん不思議な国のアリスのモチーフもちゃんとあります。

メニューは伝統的なイングリッシュ・ティールームのメニューです。
スコーンやアフタヌーンティーメニューはもちろん、ケーキの種類も豊富。
They have traditional English tea room's menu.
Scones, Afternoon tea menu, and of course, many cakes!
そしてこちらがご主人の、マッド・ハッター!
やっぱりティータイムは伝統的なものじゃないと！という方にはとってもおすすめのティールームです。
