先週は私のバースデーだったので、国内小旅行へ行ってまいりました！
このご時世に…。ですよね。
でももう我慢の限界だったんです！
せめて電車でなく車でどこか行けるところ、ということで、行き先は南コッツウォルズ。
結構メジャーどころは制覇しましたが、今回はバースの南の方にいきたい村が 2カ所あったので、そこに決定。
最初の村はブラッドフォード・オン・エイヴォン。
ローマ時代からある古い町で、古い建物も多く残っています。
Last week was my birthday week, so we went for a little trip!
I know it is tough time... but we couldn't stand it anymore.
Somewhere we don't need to use public transport.... We went to South Cotswolds!
We have been major Cotswolds spots already, but I have got 2 places I want to go in the South of Bath.
First spot was Bradford on Avon.
An old village from Roman era and there are lots of old buildings.
この町での目的は、なんと言ってもティールーム！
この街の有名なティールームでアフタヌーンティーをしたかったのです！
誕生日当日の朝に出発して、到着後はお昼と合わせてティータイム。
16世紀から続くティールーム！
アンティークハウスで伝統の（しかも素朴系）アフタヌーンティーはとても美味しかったです！
しかもEat out Help outキャンペーンで２５％オフ！尚嬉しい！
夜は夜で偶然通りかかっていいなと思ったレストランが大当たり。
すごく素敵な日になりました！
The purpose there was a tearoom!
I wanted to have a teatime in the famous tearoom.
We have left London on my birthday morning, and arrived at the village around noon.
We have a lunch and afternoon tea together in the tearoom which established from the 16th century.
The traditional afternoon tea in the antique house.... it was so lovely!
Also, they still do Eat out Help out campaign, 25% off! Brilliant!
At dinner, we found a great restaurant and the dinner there was so delicious!
It was a wonderful birthday 😊
ウェストブリーの白馬を見に行ってきました。
起源は謎のこの地上絵。
白く浮いているのは地盤にあるチョークの色です。
ウィルトシャーには実はこういう白い馬がいくつかあります。
Next day, we stopped over at Westbury White Horse before the next village.
We don't know the origin.
White is the colour of chalk.
There are similar horses in Whiltshire.
さて、 2日目はずっといきたかった街、フロム。
この坂道が有名な古い街なのですが、ヴィンテージショッピングでも有名…。
…なはずだったんですが。
コロナのせいか、軒並みクローズ。泣
開いていたヴィンテージショップは２軒だけでした…。
他にもかわいいショップはありましたが…。
ずっときたかった街だけに、ちょっとショックでした。
あとはマーケットの日を逃したこと！
アンティークマーケットの日に来ていれば収穫あったかな〜。
これ以外にも、この周辺にはいくつか素敵なマナーハウスがあって田舎旅の楽しみといえばそれなんですが、
コロナのせいでこちらも軒並みクローズ！
ガーデンだけは開いているところもありますが、
せっかく行くならハウスも入りたいじゃないですか…。
ということでいつか元に戻ったときのためにマナーハウスはお預け。
いつも楽しみにしている教会にも入れなかったし、やっぱり今は旅する期間ではありませんね…。
And we arrived in Frome.
It was famous for vintage shopping.... but some vintage shops are closed. I guess because of Coronavirus?
There are some cute shops.
A bit shocked as I expected to do vintage hunting there.
Also I missed the antique market there.
There are beautiful manor houses around here, but the houses are all closed because of this coronavirus situation.
Gardens are open, but I wanted to see houses too as we came for a long way.....
I like to see local churches, but churches are also closed as well.
It's difficult time to travel..
翌日は、インスタで見つけた街、シャフツベリーへ行ってきました。
旅系のインスタでたまに見るこの丘がフロムから近かったので。
こちらの丘は70年代にイギリスで有名なパンブランドHovisのコマーシャルで使われました。
自転車に乗った少年が丘の上のお店にパンを配達するため自転車を必死に押して坂を上ってくる…というCMですが、
この写真を撮っていたときCMさながらアマゾンの箱を抱えた配達人が坂道を登っていました。
（車は入ってこられないので。大変そうだー！）
見所はこれだけっちゃこれだけなんですが、他にも古い建物があったり、
やはり丘からの眺めが素晴らしい街でした。
Next day, we went to Shaftesbury.
I found this little town in Instagram.
This Gold Hill is famous for 1970's Hovis commercial.
It was a boy pushing his bicycle to climb up the hill.
And when I was taking this photo, actually a delivery man with Amazon box was climbing up the hill as well.
There are lots of old beautiful buildings in the town and lovely view as well.
さて最終日は、これがメインと言っても過言ではない！
久しぶりに行くカントリーブロカンテフェア。
メインと言いながら実は全く考えてなかったんですけど、
見たらちょうど日程がロンドンに帰ってくる翌日だったので、
前日まで車借りてるんだったらちょっと伸ばしてでも行きたいー！
というお願いを聞いてもらいました。
ドライバーの相方には感謝しかないです。
Last day was Country Brocante Fair!
It was actually my main purpose of the trip ;)
I didn't plan it, but I found it is next day of our arrival in London.
So I asked my mister to extend to rental a car one more day.
Huge thank you to my mister driver.
センスの良いお店が集まるこのフェア。
もう本当に大満足でした！
まあ、蚤の市というよりはセレクトショップのフェアという感じなので、
（お値段がまあまあするので）買い付けに行く感じではないのですが、
やっぱりセンスが良い店が多いだけあって欲しいものもたくさん！
ついつい買ってしまうのでした…。
まあほぼ私のコレクションやディスプレイにするしかないような値段なんですが…。
最近おうち時間がメインになったことで、私自身ももっとインテリアの商品を扱おうと思っていたところでのフェアだったので、
とっても良い刺激になりました。
車だったので念願のジュエリー用キャビネットも買えたし！（写真右の白いキャビネット）。
本当に大満足。フェアや買ったものの詳細は9月の買い付け日記にて。
I LOVE the fair.
So many stylish shops are there.
It's not for my business buying as it is not like an trader antique market, but so many cute items and can't stop shopping!
Most of my buys are going to be my own collection or display, but I have got some for my shop.
I was thinking to sell home decor items as we spend lots of time at home now.
The fair gives me many inspirations.
I have got a cabinet which I really wanted for my jewellery! (because we had a car that day!)
I really had a fun. The details of the fair and my vintage finds will be my buying diary of September.
朝一から参戦したので、昼にはもうショッピングは終了。
ロンドンに帰る前にもうちょい寄り道、ということでShereという村で寄り道。
たくさんの古い家とアヒルのいる小川がある小さな村でお散歩を堪能しました。
I finished shopping before lunchtime as I joined the fair from the very beginning.
We stopped over at Shere before we headed back to London.
Cute little village which has a stream with ducks!
We had a lovely afternoon there.
バースデースペシャルウィークはまだまだ終わらない！
とばかりに、太陽が出ていたので翌日の日曜日もお出かけ！
天気が良かったのでずっと行ってみたかったエリア、トゥイッケナムへ。
トゥイッケナムはリッチモンドのすぐ下の街で歩いていけるんですが、
これまた予想以上にいい感じの街でした！
美味しいカフェとお散歩コースを見つけてご機嫌です。
And my special birthday week was not finished yet!
We went out Sunday too as it was a lovely weather!
We went to Twickenham where I wanted to go.
It was a lovely area more than I expected!
I found a cute cafe and lovely walk course.
本当に大満足の旅でした！
まず、奇跡かっていうくらいお天気に恵まれました。
くもりが普通のイギリスでずーっと快晴！しかも気温も高い！
ちなみに今は気温も１０度くらい下がって土砂降りです…。
ほんと晴れててよかった…。泣
田舎旅の醍醐味、星空も堪能できたんです。
日本にいた時は満点の星空なんて見たことなくて、天の川も肉眼で見えるなんて知らなかったんですが、
欧州の田舎に来てから初めて見ることができて、それ以来夜の空を見るのも楽しみに。
この旅でもバッチリ見ることができました。
私のへっぽこな腕では絶対撮れないと思った写真までも撮れた！
なんと北斗七星！
しかも流れ星まで見えたんですよ〜！
これはこの年最高になるってメッセージに違いない！
と、思っています！

It was a really lovely week.
First of all, the weather was AMAZING.
There was sunshine, and no clouds! and high temperature!
(And now, it is pouring down and 10 degrees down....)
Thank god.....
And I could see a starry sky too.
I had never seen a starry sky in Japan (In my home town, I could see a few stars at night)
and I didn't know I could see milky way in my eyes.
I saw beautiful stars in Frome, and I succeeded in taking a photo of stars!
(I thought I never be able to take a photo of stars with my poor skills of photography.)
Lovely Big Dipper. I also saw a shooting star!
It must be a good sign of this fabulous year 😊

先週は私のバースデーだったので、国内小旅行へ行ってまいりました！
