明らかに若い時と時間の進み方が違うわ…。
さて、10年記念日は奮発してどこか長期で旅行したいと思ってたんですが、このご時世。

コロナのせいで旅行どころか単なるお出かけさえ危うい。
実は国内で行きたいところがあったんですが、
ギリギリまでロックダウンになるかわからないような時期だったので、
結局その場所はお流れに。（迷ってるうちに予約が定員割れしてしまった。）
じゃあ、長期で泊まれない代わりに贅沢なところに１泊しよう！ということになりました。

It was our 10 years marriage anniversary last month!
Time flies..... Definitely going quicker than 10 years ago! lol
We were planning something big trip for 10 years anniversary, but yes, COVID-19.
We were not sure we can go on a trip or maybe not able to go somewhere for 1 day trip!
I wanted to go somewhere for the weekend, but it was the time there might be a lockdown coming, so we couldn't.
(The ticket was sold out before we decided...!)
So, we decided to stay somewhere gorgeous instead of going a long trip.
ということでやってきたのが、グレート・フォスターズ。
ヒースローやウィンザーに程近いところにあるマナー・ハウス・ホテルです。

広々とした正面に反して、秘密の扉みたいに小さいドアをくぐると、

ホテルって感じがしません。
Gorgeous lobby. It is not like a hotel.
とは言いつつ、家具や壁紙が割とモダンなのもあったりで、
アンティークなマナーハウス、という感じはあまりしなくもない。
I imagined their furniture is all antique, but it was not.
Some of them are, and some of them are very modern.

The house has got a beautiful garden.
何か見られるところが良いなーと思ったので選んだこのホテル。
確かに綺麗なんですけど、やっぱりお花の季節の方が良かったですね。
We are not interested in spa, so we wanted to stay somewhere historical and has got something to look.
The garden was beautiful, but it could be lovelier when it is in flower season.
この日本庭園にありそうな木製のブリッジ。
春ならやっぱり綺麗だったんだろうな。
写真を見ると、春は花に埋もれていました。
There were still some roses there, but can't compared with springtime.
I looked a photo, this rose garden was full of flowers in spring.
残念なのは、こちら幹線道路のすぐ近くなので、ずーっと車の走行音がするんですよね…。
綺麗な庭園で静かにお散歩したいところだったんですが…。
本当に残念だなあ。

Shame thing was, it was very close to a big road.
I could hear cars all the time....
It was beautiful nature here, but couldn't do a quiet walk.
プールもあります。
Pool was quiet, obviously.
こちらではすごくリラックスできました〜！
大きな暖炉を私たちだけで独占。
（もちろん人の出入りは自由だけど、誰も来なかった。）
こちらではアフタヌーンティーもあるんですが、ディナーに備えて軽く済ましておく。
このプチタルトがそんな私たちにちょうど良かった！
After walk, we had a teatime in front of the fire.
It was so nice! There was no one here, so it was special chilling time only for us.
They have a special afternoon tea course, but we didn't want to be full before our special dinner.
These petit tarts was just perfect for us.
そんなこと知りもせず部屋とディナーのセットを予約しちゃったもんだから、
レストラン選べなかった…。
10年記念だったんだからミシュランレストランにしとけば良かった（泣）
ロックダウン目前だし、街も遠いし、誰も来ないんじゃない？と思ったら、余裕の満席。さすが。
They have 2 restaurants and one of them has a Michelin star!
We didn't check about it and booked with a package of a room with a restaurant ticket, which can be used only for non Michelin restaurant.....
We should have gone for Michelin one as it was 10 years anniversary!!
I thought restaurants would be very quiet as it was just before the lock down.
However, it was full! Wow.
過去の経験を踏まえて、良いレストランでは迷わず肉を選ぶ私。
そして良いレストランのお肉は絶対に間違いなし。
ここでこの美味しさならミシュランレストランだとどうなっちゃうの？
今更ながらすごく気になってます。

I always choose meat in good restaurants.
Meat in good restaurants is definitely good.
It was a non Michelin restaurant, what about meat in Michelin restaurant??
I have to go and check....
デザートはレモンタルトでさっぱり。
The dessert was a lemon tart.
お部屋はこんな感じ。
ぶっちゃけ申しますと、隣の声は聞こえるし、バスルームがガラス戸になってたりで、
（夫婦といえどプライバシー！）
お値段の割には普通かな、と思っちゃいました。

それよりは未来の本当の「10周年記念旅行」に予算を取っておきます。（もちろん行きます。）

To be very honest, it was not very special room for the price.
I could hear the next door and the bathroom door was glass.....
I understand the price was for garden and historical lounge too.
Of course, they have much more historical (and expensive) rooms.
Yes, I should have stayed in more expensive room for 10 years anniversary, but....
I always want to spend more money for food or other things to experience.
I prefer to spend money for our future "real 10 years anniversary trip".

私は昨日お腹いっぱいだったので、フルーツとパンケーキだけ。
フルーツがまさかこんな大きなボウルで出てくると思わなかったので、結局お腹いっぱいになっちゃいましたけど。

They have cereals, English full breakfast, toasts....
I was already full from the night before, so I just had fruits and pancakes.
I didn't expect the fruits bowl was so big, I became full again in the end.
てな感じの滞在でした！
ほかに行くところもないし、チェックアウトの後ちょっと時間潰してアフタヌーンティーに帰ってくる？って言ってたんですが、
いやいや、もうお腹いっぱい。
というわけで、行きも立ち寄ったんですが、ウィンザー＆イートンへ。

We were actually thinking to come back for afternoon tea after check out, but no more food....
We headed to Windsor & Eton.
ウィンザーはショッピングセンターもあって賑やかですが、
テムズを挟んで向こう側のイートンがお気に入り。
好きなオックスフォードに似た感じがあります。
古い建物が並ぶストリートに歴史ある校舎。
その裏にある広々とした公園も自然いっぱい。
Windsor is a busy town with a big shopping centre, but I prefer Eton.
It looks similar to Oxford where is my favourite town.
A little street with old buildings, and historical school buildings...
There is a big park too.
ゆったりした散歩をして、私たちの10周年記念のウィークエンドはおしまい。
来年は本当にどこかに行けますようにーーー！
